I got some dedicated PCIE leads for it, and I have to say plugging them in was a literal nightmare. Two of them felt plain blocked, and it took 10 minutes of frustration before I finally got all three comfortably in. The design just isn't good. Maybe I've utterly missed the memo but what's the technical reason the three sockets can't just be on the card itself? Or that a specialised cable that can plug into the new socket can't be produced?

In other words, penny savings that lead to my house burning up, what a time to be alive.

Plug it in properly as has been proven by now, or buy AMD.

1> This is a nylon 66 material, flame retardant, it will melt but won't catch fire.
2> The failure would result in an eventual OCP event, and the PSU would shut off
3> There is almost nothing in a pc (save part labels) that can ignite into flames, and the small amount of dusts that could would quickly consume the available fuels (oxygen+carbon material) and smother themselves out inside of a metal and plastic box.

there has never been a fire risk

Also the lawsuit is a PR stunt by the founder of High Roller

Yeah sure, if the pc is sqeaky clean, but most pc's have at least a small layer of dust inside that can ignite...

But great to see that nvidia is still on PR crisis management...
