I don't have any of the issues you are describing. That's not to say they have their work to do to fix issues in the driver. I do wonder once you start noticing issues on the other side of the fence if you are going to be just as vocal? They are not as forgiving there as we are here.

However, since you've complained the most in these Radeon drivers threads all I can say is, "Bye Felicia".

    Odd indeed.

Driver failure randomly very often! Watching videos, vlc player, upon closing vlc player, etc. what the hell..

DDL for AMD is not working, so the download link is not working. You can get the ddl only at the release notes page.

Most issues come from RAM or UV instability or thin(=low signal quality) monitor cables.

This bug with VEGAS Pro is DRIVING ME INSANEEEEEE.... HOW LONG till its fixed ? I mean its known since 3 months and reported since at least 4 months....

Is there no known workaround like dropping some older DLLs in the Vegas directory ?
    Someone ? Please ?

I do want the newer drivers because of optimizations but I also need VEGAS Pro working....

BTW -- there is a "semi" workaround on Reddit for it :
"Above the Preview Window is a cog icon,
Click on that and change PIXEL FORMAT from 8bit to 32bit Floating Point Full Range.
And also, change View transform to sRGB (ACES)."

But this makes the AMD VCE Encoding unusable. And for quick YT edits it is still needed....

My little workaround is using iGPU Iris Pro as encoder gpu for preview. It works usually well, but you need to lower preview resolution to half or below.

    Some other issues I noticed:
After monitor sleep, video decoding will fail instantly(hangs) or a driver timeout happens.

There is some sort of image corruption.
When playing a video (only tested on second monitor) then hover a taskbar icon on the main screen so that the preview pops up then hover over the preview (so that the desktop is shown) the video image will get corrupted for a short period of time.
This isn't easy noticeable because sometimes the fade out animation is faster.
    This also happens with 22.5.1

I did get 4090, can't be freaking happier
not being able to play VR properly for a year is something that shouldn't happen with $999 gpu from the driver's side and also 90% of other bugs

I also got a ROG Strix RTX 4090. I found that NVIDIA has more OpenGL extensions than AMD.

NVIDIA 432 ext vs AMD 273 ext.

FYI thats because nvidia has a bunch of vendor specific extensions, that are not part of the any opengl standard.

    RX 6800xt Pulse
    hello folks!
Having a 6800xt pulse since June or maybe longer. But what the duck is going on with those newer drivers from DX10-DX12 the anisotropic level + antialiasing is unacceptable. LOoks like someone washed my monitor with sugarwater and didnt properly dried afterwards. Is there even a driver ,tool or any other fix that has Anisotropic Filtering or even Antialiasing working with RX6000 GPUs ?

  17. Is it confirmed that display cables can cause driver timeouts?

I've had flaky 4K@60Hz on several RX 580 cards across all operating systems, and in all cases the display would just flicker, blank, or snow at random without driver crashes.

flaky connections could cause a timeout, but its more likely to just not give a signal.

the cable factor is more to do with pin 20 possibly causing short related damage to the IC's involved.

I have only a dedicated GPU, second build (currently in the works) will have ZEN4 and AMD GPU. So this is not an option for me.

Set these options for your game profile in driver. Remember that forcing AF is mostly confirmed to work in DX9-10-11 and OpenGL, doesn't work in Vulkan. I'm not 100% sure it works in DX12. But the Surface Optimization and Filtering Quality 100% work.
