With this pricing of the RTX 4000 series, even the older RTX 3000 cards won't go down in price anymore from their current levels.

 

Is this a presentation of new gaming cards or a Nvidia Quadro solution? WTF

 

Nvidia has also lowered the 3000 series price for new ones since they have so much in stock. haha

DLSS 3 technology will only work on Ada Lovelace architecture graphics cards, RTX 2000 and RTX 3000 graphics cards will not support DLSS 3 technology.

Global illumination. The lighting is the difference between like the original valve engine and the Source engine. Tons of comparison videos online. The latest metro 2033 game (can't remember the title name) has a lot.

In other words, people tend to think it's just gimmicky reflections; it's not. It makes the illumination look so convincing it's erie.

 

RT never was a gimmick, it's just that the first implementations of it were basically just shiny flat surfaces and shadows - things we already had without RT. Now, it's finally being used properly.

 

Jen said on stage they managed to OC those above 3GHz. Now I imagine the official 2.52GHz boost clock is rated at those 450W and the OC will be 600W maybe? It's impressive tech, but those prices and efficiency are out of the window. 900$ (and more like 1100€ in Europe), this makes it a no-no. my guess is 4070 for 699$ and 4060 for 549$. Later a 4070Ti (fast as 4080) for 749$ and 4060Ti for 599$ (as fast as 4070). Mid range is dead. Sadly AMD might as well increase prices just because the market is in this situation. If however, AMD has better product or overall tie, let's hope they charge a bit less (even though it won't make sense for them). Just ordered 6700xt for 300$ so I hope to settle with it for the next 2-3 years. Time to retire my RX570 4G

 

No I get what you meant I just meant in the campaign or mp.

I found campaign spots to be a big difference in places. Mp less so, and the RTX night maps came out

Nvidia doesn't have to lower their prices for the 3000 series anymore. The current prices are already comfortably below their 4000 series counterparts. Demand for the 3000 series will also increase since the 4000 cards are so highly priced that people needing a new GPU will have to settle for the 3000 series which is cheaper.

 

Oh, sorry. I saw it both in campaign and multiplayer, usually in shaded areas like shoot house; when you're standing in those shaded areas, things just look a lot different with RTX on, probably due to all of the secondary light bounce that's being calculated.

But overall, it's very interesting how you brain can tell the difference between "oh, sure this looks pretty and all" and.. "woah, this is actually accurate."

 

I will be buying a 4090 for 4k gaming, more value over the 4080. I don't mind the price of $1600.

 

Well, expected price hike. My trusty 3080 will hold another year just fine.

 

Why, no one will be buying it scalpers may, then 2 weeks later we get more in stock. haha

 

They want so badly for those prices they had during the crypto boom to stick, it's pathetic. This is the kind of thing people are talking about when they talk about competition and only having one or two manufacturers... Nvidia is basically just continuing to price GPUs as if everyone is still mining with them and hoping you don't have any other option. And currently, you don't.
