That's great performance! If priced right and it doesn't get too hot or have as many issues as has been reported on with the software, this could be a great contender for a midrange build. Looking forward to more!

No one sane in mind expected 3070 level of performance.
Starting from the 1080ti up, nvidia cards are fast.
We cannot hope for that level of performance for their first product.
We want just stable drivers, low prices and availability. We don't even mind drive patches for games.

Damn it Intel. One year earlier, and you could have struck gold with these GPUs.

It barely edges out 3060 and its even loosing in many games. Thats bad. Even if Intel released it months ago it would be too late.

Isn't more than 75% of the market still on 1080p anyways?

The performance, if it truly matches a 3060, is not a bad start.

It needs to be priced right and the drivers need to be functional.

Why not include FPS with RT effects enabled in games that support them? :D

    I fully agree with this.

A good price and some decent drivers and Intel may be off to a good start.

We all know that's not what Intel is aiming for, and would be IMPOSSIBLE for any newcommer to pull off right away.

Even AMD struggles still, and Ray Tracing is on it's third generation almost.

what about opengl and older version of direct3d?
in before you find that most dx11 opengl4 games will run like crap and dx10-9 and older version of ogl are basically broken :D

and yes, some games basically still use d3d9 like CSGO (though it should run under 9Ex to better run upon WDDM)

The performance is not bad, price and drivers though: those need to be spot on, or else!

For anyone who doesn't know: Intel's Arc cards apparently are abysmal outside of DX12 and Vulkan. 99.99% of games use an API that's not one of those two, despite how old DX12 is.

I'm not sure of the actual numbers, but yes, 1080P is still the most common resolution by quite a large margin.
Ray tracing is still a niche feature as well....

For the handful of games that Arc actually supports, performance is quite good. Unfortunately, Arc doesn't support the vast majority of games on the market and the results range from abysmal performance all the way to "crashes trying to launch".... It's hard to make a profit off a product that is nearly unusable.....

Lets be honest here Intel needs to price A750 below 300$ to make sense.

It makes me wonder how ARC card would perform in DX11 by using DXVK.

intel opengl drivers are always been pure crap... unfortunately that's turned out now to be true on previous versions of direct3d too :V

In theory, based on the information currently available, it really sounds like DXVK would increase performance by a significant amount. I guess we'll find out. Someone on this forum is bound to buy an Arc card if they're released in real numbers.
It's older DX versions I'd be more worried about; the overwhelming majority of games use DX11 or older. Even modern titles being released now often use DX11 with no DX12 or other option.

meanwhile with my 6700xt I am able to play old 9x era games like Pharaoh (though the installer is buggy and you may need to kill some process that for some strange reason the installer will wait on.. probably process id overflow?)
