The once CPU-only company has introduced a new line of professional GPUs to complement its existing Arc line. Arc Pro cards are aimed at people who use their graphics cards for more than just shooting...

Looking at the specs, these are just the A380 level cards in a Pro sleeve. Not extremely exciting if you are looking for a decent Workstation card. Performance-wise these are no better than the cheapest NVIDIA Workstation cards from last generation.

It would take me quite some time before I stop using Quadro cards for these. When you build a workstation, stability is key, and I far from trust the current Intel hardware/drivers.

They haven't sorted out the launch of the consumer cards, but are already announcing more products!

Why would you use a dual-slot blower fan on a 50-75W card?

i guess with the AV1 encoder they could sell it to use it as a video "cooprocessor", i'm not sure it is a good selling point, any way i hope ARC to become a thing eventualy

They only seem to really be having issues with gaming at this point. The A380 seems to perform quite well, for what it is, in production-oriented tasks when Windows doesn't screw up the drivers. I still find it hard to recommend these cards for any production environment though. Unless you absolutely have to have AV1 support, I think most people would be better served by Quardo cards. There's also a good chance that NVidia will add AV1 support before Intel gets anything out the door that's actually viable.....
