it actually is good, great even,as most work better with better version

when I first tried rdr2, it looked great with dlss, but there were really ugly contrails on some dark lines.
with 2.3.2, then 2.3.9 and now 2.4.3 it all gradually improved

same for metro, great overall, but ghosting on the gun. gone with 2.3.2 and later

it's a huge advantage for dlss to be able to use the version you like most, and have hundreds of games benefit from the latest versions.

i'm yet to wintess a better version of dlss to spoil a game, dunno what you're talking about.

Most games will improve over time with the latest DLSS version, with the exception of those using DLSS 1.0. Definitely a key feature of using upscalers like DLSS or XeSS XMX.

In SotTR (and probably also RotTR), only 2.3.2 works correctly. 2.3.9/2.4.3 show weird temporal aliasing (and other versions show other artifacts).
In Control, other manually replaced versions than 2.2.11 show weird blocky rendering.
Though these are the only cases I'm aware of. Generally, I think 2.4.3 works great.

As for RDR2, try this: https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/s94c0n/tool_to_properly_disable_dlss_sharpening_and/
No more disgusting sharpen artifacts (use ReShade CAS instead) and less smearing with that patcher. With that and 2.4.3, I finally found DLSS to be a great alternative to the extremely blurry TAA of the game.

A good thread for me as a new owner of a RTX 3080, upgrading from a 5 year old GTX 1080 Ti.

I was testing out lots of games with DLSS and RTX over the weekend and was surprised at just how many there are now. One think I was doing was replacing the nvngx_dlss.dll file with all games to the latest v2.4.3 one but then realised that some games use the older v1.x.x DLL and will instantly crash on startup with the newer one, e.g. Final Fantasy XV. That's a shame really as the early versions of DLSS are not very impressive and it seems that developers do not update their games to support the newer ones.

Could be wrong but outside of Metro Exodus and Control I don't think many DLSS version 1.0 were upgraded to DLSS 2.0 yet.
Going by this list there are about 5 games that are on version 1.0.

Never played the Warhammer series so not sure this will be on my playlist. Looks like they be using RTXGI and ray traced reflections, so looks like advanced effects will only be a PC endeavor.
According to Alex@DF, another game made by FatShark "Vermintide 2" used the Autodesk Stingray engine. If same engine is in Darktide this will be first usage of RT in that engine.

Focus Home Interactive has announced that A Plague Tale: Requiem will release on October 18th.
NVIDIA revealed that the game will support Ray Tracing effects, as well as its own upscaling technique DLSS.

I'd love them to release morrowind with those graphics. Would be like stepping into a whole new world.

Cyberpunk 2077 FSR 2.0 Mod Aims to Replace NVIDIA DLSS and Also Works on Steam Deck

    -> https://wccftech.com/cyberpunk-2077-fsr-2-0-mod-replace-dlss/?beta=1

"Both FSR 2.0 and Nvidia DLSS are temporal upscalers and work (except for some minor differences) very similar. This means that both systems need similar data to work.

Luckily, NVIDIA publishes its DLSS implementation as a dynamic library ( a dll file). This allows us to simply replace the DLL in question with our own version that is able to translate NVIDIA DLSS to FSR 2.0 commands.
API reimplementations like Wine or DXVK work in a similar way."

Great news for Radeon Gamers :p
