I'm in touch with Gigabyte Technologies about BIOS modding but they said they will not BIOS mod for anyone & want to keep it factory condition.

I am waiting on a reply from Gigabyte right now regarding more BIOS Modding Details about which tool to use etc.

    Thanks

Using 6900XT Nitro SE with Xeon's equivalent to i7-5775C, yep PCIe 3.0 x16. Thanks AMD cuts on PCIe Lanes i was forced this monster. RX 6700 and RX 6800XT wasn't much cheaper. Paid 20$ extra to 6900XT.

Undervolting from 1.175V to 1.100V. Pushed memory from 2000MHz to 2100MHz. Core clock target 2474MHz, but usually keep 2350-2400 under heavy load (Control with RT). It is not my last word about those clocks. I just set them and works fine. I know my CPU making bottleneck, but for 60FPS Singleplayer games and 120FPS multiplayer is still capable. My native res is 1080p. Had some issue on 22.5.2 drivers with stability and encoders, so im still using older 22.5.1 without DX11 boost. Maybe next 22.6.1 (proper one, not rebranded for Legacy GCN) will be better.

I have mine similar for some of my games, Metro EE and FC but for DCS is have it set to 1.120V and 2600mhz, keeps me at 60fps at 4k.

Will be in the same position this coming Tuesday. A reference midnight edition 6800XT is on the way to replace my 1080Ti.

Don't blame AMD / NV for the price gouging that has been going on for 2 years. They sell their cards at wholesale cost to the suppliers for the retail outlets. THESE are the ones who are jacking up the prices, because they feel they can get away with it, and indeed they can, since people are still BUYING them at these inflated prices. And thus it will continue even after production ramps up to levels where they can satisfy demand.

Im not blaming for the price, im blaming for cutted PCIe Lanes for budget card. Just it. I bought 6900XT under MSRP. Im feeling actually good about it. Those 6700 and 6800 are much much above MSRP here.

    20220618_171237.jpg Hey all!! I'm running a gigabyte 6900xt xtreme waterforce...pretty sure I'm maxxed out with my MPT settings...gpu clocks/volts.....

Mem is holding me back now...is the only way to try and get mem clocks higher is to try and flash the ref LC bios on it? Has anyone tried with this particular card?

Here is where I'm at at the moment on TS

@Grindcore77 I'm afraid nothing you can with your VRAM, Flashing LC or 6950xt bios won't change anything.
(by the way 1.300mV could be enough for 2134Mhz at least for my card it's enough.)

the cards produced by amd/nv were sold at msrp.

AIB's were short-stocking retailers and jacking up the prices while doing it.

Give me a break they did sell them directly to miners. There was no way to get the FE card. Nvidia even got sued for it.

There were quite a few articles about them being sold directly to miners in China :D

Exactly this. It would make zero sense to intentionally limit their stock as that would limit their profits. AIBs want to move product not sit on it. And they did exactly that by selling them by the truckloads to miners.

I mean, it's pretty OT, but I guess it was no different with AMD than with Nvidia: Aren't FE cards (and what AMD sells themselves personally) always available in fewer numbers than AIB models? So that this would create a shortage in the first place, only made worse by those too directly selling to miners?

Die AMD do this as well?

Are you running this "$/7 or its just for OC and then you revert back to stock. Its just that the idle voltage is always so high . Is there a way to make it low and go to 1.25v when oc?

Hmmmmi have heard mixed opinions on the LC bios...some getting better results with it? Something to do with looser timings but higher clocks?

Let me know if you get more frequency on the VRAM, I was unlucky even with higher voltage.

Yes! It's only for benching runs then reverted back to stock..with the gpu clocks I'm running now...anything lower and the card will crash...
