This was a nice surprise MSI have updated BIOS's again 7D13v18 Agesa 1.2.0.8 Description: Update to AGESA ComboAm4v2PI 1.2.0.8.
It's marked as beta though. Edit: Also, someone on another forum said that if you're on Windows 10, then "AGESA 1200-1203" is the highest you should be using. Anybody have any clue about why or this just random nonsense?
It's Final on my B550 UNIFY Anything after 1.3.0.3b started to enable secure boot by default because of windows 11 but i had no problem with the later Agesa for 2 years on Windows 10 I've used every one of a dozen+ Bios's for this board in the last 2+ years and the latest 1.2.0.7 had the most mature boost behavior to 4850Mhz on the 5800X in the 65w eco mode. Only 5% slower on cinebench for half of the power usage
if you use pbo, after agesa 1.2.0.5, the max vid is capped at 1.425v if EDC goes above 140a, so if you are running a hot workload, if can effect performance potentially(presumably effects the high core count chips more).
Ah. Thanks. I don't use PBO. I disabled it after I found that the only thing it does is push more voltage through my CPU for no perf benefit whatsoever
I have an X570-A Pro + 3700x(stock), I updated to the final version AGESA 1.2.0.8, it's been 72hrs since I updated and everything is working perfectly, I recommend it.
