I am sticking with 525.14 because i updated recently but all of these problems... i dont think you are going encounter them unless you stumble into same exact/similar circumstances. It should be fine.

The driver is in no way "unsafe" to install.

Not sure if serious or not, but W11 isn't required for 12th gen, at least for gaming.

Keep telling yourself that, meanwhile some games still won't boot on 10 but do on 11.

What is "unsafe"? Is it stable enough to be universally recommendable? Certainly not, unless one chooses to live in an opportunistic bubble.

It's way better optimised for the 12th gen and as @Astyanax said some games won't boot under windows 10

Performance is ok, i dont see any issues.

Stability is not best. I experience driver crashes in World of Tanks, something that never happens to me in years. Also Firefox occasionally like to flicker when scrolling and sometimes just after i start my PC my monitor losing connection to GPU for few seconds.

I will rollback to older version and skip this one

No driver crashes here it seems to be quite the stable one for my card which is undervolted and overclocked so did stress it a but with a star citizen 5-6h gaming session no issues. Gonna keep these for now.

Their control panel doesn’t render correctly on 4k 200 DPI screens. It has some tiny UI elements. All bean counters at nvidia are worried about selling max units at max possible price. Nothing else! So attention to software.

the worst drivers in my memory, so many crashes and black screens both on my laptop (3070) and desktop (3080 ti). funny enough when it worked it felt smoother than previous drivers

My laptop 1060 and desktop 2080Super have no issues running these drivers on w11. And yeah, it does feel smoother any previous one.

Certainly yes. This driver is just as "stable" as any previously released driver for the last several years.

Are those black screens some you get often or only on rare occasions?
I had 1-2 black screens that last for maximum a second over 3-4 days with 516.40, like something shortly gets out of sync, the Windows notification for monitor/resolution detection pops up.
Didn't experience that with 516.48 so far.

For me this driver has issues with RTX reflections and shadows

    reflections ghost inside puddles

and for some reason now when I play fallout 4 I have a black screen where the video should be playing in the background

using the quadro 516.25 drivers for now

It looks that stability issue of 516.40 is most of the time reported by 3000 series users. Also Not all users are effected. Most of users have smooth experience, so it could be dependent of GPU/CPU/mobo/OS combo

What game did you try with rt on? I played Far Cry 6 yesterday with rt reflections and shadows on and worked fine.

    Freesync with cap

Action games dont need any higher frame rates than 60-72fps anything higher is wasted power and excess heat imho

of course esports/online shooters is different

monitor is 144hz with range of 48-144
