Dr. Su has already stated that she believes that 2022 will be AMD's best year yet. To me, that portends well for Zen 4 and RDNA3. Interesting article!

I think 4.5 base -4.7 is suuuuuuper optimistic, the boost clocks sound plausible if AMD go on pl2 like state and push 250 watts when the CPU goes full tilt. Will see ! Is one of the things I would love to be wrong !

AMD 5800X hitting 5200Mhz boost at 53W but I had Vsync on for some reason when I took the screen. So I can see AMD hitting the 5200Mhz boost at lower wattage. Xuan-Yuan-Sw-ord-VII-Prestige-club-5200-Mhz.jpg

I'll wait probably for next gen GPU to combine with Zen 4X3D or Zen 5.

Putting troll physics aside, there is a proof-of concept space probe that is accelerated using a laser via a "light sail", and is currently the only technology realistically producible today that could reach Alpha Centauri in a human lifetime. At least, theoretically:

Don't you just love it when you joke about how stupid an idea is, only to find that it actually works?

@bobnewels single core and dual core boosts are not an issue really!

You are correct amazing how people can recognize games and my bad for not saying game name.

Light loads can hit high clocks also.It does not make a difference in FPS over default clocks really.

I believe AMD can do the 5000Mhz+ on new CPU's,that seems to be the magic number for some people even though a CPU running 3000Mhz can be just as fast as 5000Mhz

Unrelated to the CPU, but hot dang Sekiro was good. Spent the first month or so hating it/being frustrated, but then came back to it after watching some videos/guides on parrying and it really clicked with me at that point. Probably took me like ~30 tries to beat Madame Butterfly, but one of the most satisfying gaming experiences I've had yet.

Sekiro was the game I didn't know I wanted from Fromsoft til they made it -- I was sort of getting tired with Dark Souls 2/3 (I personally feel like DeS/DS1/Bloodborne/the games where they kinda do spiritual successors end up being more enjoyable personally, but that's just my own opinion) so once I adapted Sekiro was a breath of fresh air for me.

In general I've lately felt like I'm getting bored with a lot of triple A releases coming out so a game I truly loved like Sekiro just seems more and more rare as time passes -- maybe I've just gotten ornery/old/picky ;) As an aside, I had a lot of trouble getting G-Sync to work with Dark Souls 3 and Sekiro -- to make it work I had to disable Fullscreen optimizations on the exe, force V-Sync ON in the control panel (G-Sync still tore for whatever reason if I didn't do this -- strange as usually fromsoft games force their own v-sync internally), set to fullscreen then it worked great.

I have been super bummed out by Elden Ring's stuttering issues because I did not have any of those problems with Sekiro (though that game was DX11 so maybe that's why -- my bet is stuff that was abstracted to the driver before is now not and From didn't bother to write/handle those cases very well).

Sekiro is great. Timing is everything. Hesitation is death :)

I'm not a video/guide type of person but been having a ball just figuring it all out. Highly recommended.

Come to papa, it's time for my old 4790k to be retired, it's been long overdue.

Be it Zen 4 or Raptor lake, i hope Zen 4 will be the best of the two as that is the company id rather throw my money at.

You can keep your buggy AMD trash, just sold my 5900x and x570 Motherboard for a 12900KF with a Z690 Board. No more USB problems. SOLID. AMD claims they fixed the USB problems with a Bios Update, LMFAO, trust me they didn't.
