Well, on one hand I am glad they did this, on the other it makes me sad that what comes after Starfield, the next TES game, will be even farther off. Hopefully Obsidian's Avowed will fill that fantasy first person RPG itch eventually.
No mate. It was clearly about releasing a game before being done. That is why they delayed it to 2023.
Microsoft don't have the staff to make a game(Starfield) of that scope anyway. Perhaps once the Activision deal is done they might.
Fingers crossed but i dont hold my breath. This could be anything from another Fallout76 catastrophy to the best space rpg ever made.
Even that wasn't very good. I've never played it so I'm just guessing based on how bland and boring the whole game looked.
Fallout was very good though. Trouble is, the game was way, way too big in scope for me to ever hope to finish it.
That was the only one I played. Overall I'm not a huge fan of Bethesda games, so I won't hold out too much hope for Starfield.
I liked it quite alot - it obviously wasn't as good as FO3, but i still had a blast with it, and played it ALOT.
I've just noticed that the game is using Amazon's Lumberyard engine. I thought they custom made their own, guess not.
Well, they haven't really shown much of gameplay if any at all. So I wasn't really expecting them to release this year. As it was discussed before, I'm not even sure I want to deal with all the same jank for over 20 years that comes from them using the old gamebryo engine. And as stated above, they haven't really released good RPG in years. Personally it was all basically on a descending trajectory, starting with amazing Morrowind, then great Oblivion and then OKish Skyrim. FO series were kinda the same (except the FNV, but that was made by different studio). So I'm not expecting anything, really, and they can only pleasantly surprise me at this point.
