https://www.win-raid.com/t9784f2-Win-Raid-Forum-future-announcement.html I would advise to download latest versions of UBU tool, Intel MEI drivers (just in case)... I hope Guru3d will not follow.
as of 7:11 EST Win-Raid = 188 active users Guru3D = 1931 active users Huge difference right there....but yea, love me some Guru3D every morning drinking my coffee.
If you don't want Guru3D to go the same route, turn off your adblockers. I still think @Hilbert Hagedoorn should setup some kind of sub service. I'd pay $10 a month for no ads on the site just to support it.
This is extremely sad. Been an user of them for years, way back when I first had my nForce 790i board. https://web.archive.org/web/20211117133528/https://www.win-raid.com/forum.php I setup a capture on the Wayback machine. Thanfully, the forum can be accessed with no user, so the capture should be pretty complete.
Sad to hear this, can't believe Win-Raid would be gone in next few weeks. Really helpful community there. Probably would harvest as much as I can from there in next few weeks. So many good websites and forums got closed past 5 years
I guess about 90% of my knowledge regarding OpROM and BIOS/UEFI mods I got from this site.... Member since 2014 .... Really sad to see this site vanishing, but at the other hand I can understand all the reasons and motivations behind. Still sad ... Edit: @Fernando 1 / Dieter got an account here.
@386SX Almost forgot Fernando has account here on Guru3D. Imho, without exaggeration, this guy belongs to top 3 list when it comes support on any forum I've been in past lets say 15 years, hats off.
I dont know if that is possible but someone may ask Fernando and the others (Pacman for example) for permission and then mirror the interesting stuff here as an own mega thread or sth. ... just a thought ...
Wow, thanks for the update on this. Had lots of invaulable info up, lots of stuff about Bios Modding, Intel mei, raid, etc Fernando had very extensive knowledge in the inner workings on these stuff, very knowledable man, wish him the very best, hopefully alot of the info can be retained elsewhere, again, thanks for update.
should definitely be archived, too much invaluable information that is almost impossible to find elsewhere.
Winraid has been migrated to a subdomain of level1techs @ winraid.level1techs.com, Wendell has happily preserved all information, though i haven't confirmed attachments yet. Attachments intact.
Unfortunately, forums are going the way of the dodo pretty quickly. Social media has all but replaced them for most people. It's sad, because we're going to lose so much valuable information, especially with regards to older technologies.
