For #3, yeah -- I actually do think this thread has been fairly good all things considered. It's definitely been entertaining. Obviously more open platforms have their cons, this is something we've already hashed out, but they also have their pros I think assuming people are able to stomach seeing views they hate. Seems to me the alternative pushes people to more extreme isolated echo chamber boards where there's no one to disagree and any potential would-be voice of reason is banned out. Overall I think it's better in the long run for people to see and interact with positions they disagree with. For the other part, nobody forced you into the conversation, you chose to participate to the extent that you have like the rest of us. If people keep ignoring or missing an argument you feel you’ve already addressed the simplest approach would probably be to say something like, "Hey, I talked about this already here: <insert comment link>".
