1% over 12900k,which in turn is 2% faster than stock 12700kf at $380.
so at 380 you can have same or better performance with oc'd 12700kf for a lower price, and at the same time have a cpu that's close to top in productivity.

12700k is 5-7% slower than 12900k and paired with ddr4 there is no chance of winning even with overclock.

yes but that is true for a race.
go check out average summary reviews,
    12400f offers 90-91% performance at 180eur
    12600kf 95-96% at 270eur and that's for stock
    12700kf at 370eur 97% stock

those are finer margins that, e.g., a gpu alone overclock will have.and those are for 1080p,at 1440p there's no difference.

    im quoting hub numbers, 2%
    ddr4 running 4133 in gear1 mode,with oc on 12700kf - that'd be easy to achieve stock 5800x3d.
I linked you a review before where 12600kf with oc is faster, despite a few games show 5800x3d 20-30% faster than 5800x

And the same can be said about the 12900K and the 12900KS.
These high end CPUs are never about great price/performance. It's all about being the best, regardless of price.
Intel and AMD have been doing this for decades now. Remember the Athlon FX and the Pentium EE, just as an example.

And you know what, I love seeing Intel and AMD fighting so hard for the performance crown.
It's a lot of fun, and have so much competition, is very good for consumers.
I'm certain that I don't want to go back to almost stagnant performance increases, like we had when Intel had full control of the market.

yes,it was clear from the beginning that they were cash grabs.

    for the premium consumers maybe.

So I guess if you play CSGO you want a 12900KS

The interesting thing is that the 5800X3D when it wins it wins by a higher margin than when it loses.

So sadly you can't do that yes? It's okay I don't know anyone that would do that it would be really great if you could just try to modify it of course only if you have time and want to do it

How big is the difference running B0 in ECO mode vs. B2 with 65W?
