Nope, stick the latest WHQL drivers.

You can test if you want, it's not like it's hard to uninstall and install drivers :p

Hi guys, I'm facing a stuttering issue from a couple of weeks, so I tried this driver and seems the situation is better now but the stuttering is always here.
The weird thing is that I face the stuttering after some minutes of inactivity, so if I doesn't use the pc for 5 or 6 minutes, then everything lags. What could be the cause?

    I have:
    os: windows 11,
    gpu: gtx 970
    cpu: i7
    ssd: a-data + toshiba hd
    psu: seasonic focus+

I got this issue from the latest nvidia driver, the pc was always smooth

Bad English ahead: I have a problem similar to yours on my secondary PC with Xeon X79, in my case it has to do with PCIe power management and I solve it by disabling this in Windows power plan

x79 has no issues with LSPM on any OS.

I guess there was no 3090ti when the drivers were released. So the inf file doesn't include your 3090ti device ID and you need to make changes to the inf file in order for it to work.

Better wait for the next driver release from this branch if you want it that much.

Have you increased the size of the Shader cache, on the nvidia control panel?

GTX970 can be sensitive in regards to system memory speed when you push the GPU's memory, remember that this card has the ½GB slow partition.

With above 2200MHz and not to much latency on the memory it should do fine though.
Did you check if it is running at x16 PCI-E gen 3?
    Can do that with GPU-Z.

Like Mineria said, you are probably hitting the vram limit of the card.
Check with MSi aftrburner how much you are using. And remember that the 970 has 3.5GB. If you hit the remaining 0.5G, you get a performance hit.

Much improved frame rates all around - however, Vanguard has massive graphical corruption!

how to keep in installed and not override with windows?
I install it after full use of DDU (disable driver install from Windows Update)
but it still overrides the driver with old one after some time
