At roughly $325, MSI sells the Z690 EDGE WIFI. It has a ton of high-end features and supports DDR5 memory. Additionally, there is plenty of fast USB connections and the most high-end Realtek ALC4080 a...

What CPU cooler did you use in that review? It looks nice but don't see it mentioned in the hardware setup.

    I have the...(DDR4) version...and 12700k..

The board is really solid...heavy and PREMIUM quality....

Cant assemble...as waiting for my liquid frozer2 120L from arctic.

@Hilbert Hagedoorn could you please confirm if the board in the review above has "transparent strange sticky residue on the board". Is this normal?

Very difficult to get an AIO cooler for LGA1700.....you can see coolers with and *LGA1700. The asterisk means the cooler needs the mounting bracket (buy separately as those coolers in stores at that time did not include the brackets)

I bought directly from arctic.de (recommended by @Mufflore) so that they include the mounting brackets

    another fantastic review HH.

i just used this in a build i did for my neighbor it's fantastic and it feels as good as it looks (by weight).
i used the new very, very trick EK Quantum Velocity 2 (LGA 1700) water block (no visible mounting screws)
with the Alphacool Eisball "disco ball" pump/res

the Z690 Edge has a crowded field to play in but it will outshine most and gives you a feel of the super-premium $400+ mobo without too much window dressing.
if they have a version for Zen 4 i will buy it day 1.

I have an AMD 5950X so didn't care about this socket per se, but thought the cooler looked nice. Getting tired of my NZXT Kraken because the controller software sucks bad.

yes, very nice - but it is MASSIVE and covers two slots for RAM - low profile no doubt recommended
that said, for an AIO it is one very trick puppy.
