I'd buy this if it goes under $400, considering it's just a 60 series.. and the price range of all my other 60 series nvidia video cards, then I would say that will be a realistic price.
At the end of the year im getting a 4090. There is like 8-9 months till next gen is coming... unless you desperately need a new gpu now, you are just cheating yourself if you buy a gpu now - wait for the next gen, and preorder as fast as possible.
If prices don't drop substantially and 4080/4090 release at a decent MSRP, I'm getting one ASAP on release. Logic being that the 3080 & 3090's where originally sold at around their MSRP, until stock ran out and then prices jacked up. Also if prices and stock remain an issue, I can recoup a lot of costs by selling my 3090 :x Though if prices return back to sensible levels I will probably just skip 4000 series.
screw those dicks who buy them to resell,I hope they go broke and have to eat turds never gonna buy from a scalper seems like a great recipe to fail again ordered my rtx3080 7 minutes after launch, still waiting I had to wait till late 2021 to buy a 2080 Super equivalent at 2080 Super price. If I knew,I'd have bought 2080S before ampere tbh. I hope the prices in the summer are gonna really go down, before the next gen.I wouldn't mind a 3080 at msrp then.
Im short on gpu power more than anything, for what i want to run, and the 4090 will allegedly be 50% ish faster than 3090, so im deffo preordering one asap, which will be at msrp (at least in denmark) - im gonna sell my 3090 after getting the 4090, which will likely recoup half the money, just as my 2080 ti did for my 3090.
Yeah, 7 min after launch... meaning everyone and their grandmas had already placed orders. The key is being super fast, doing it on the second it releases. I had my 3090 strix 2 weeks after release.
M8... while there wasn't alot of supply, there was supply for the people who ordered ASAP. Danish stores had about 100 3080s each in stock at launch, but as there were thousands in queue within an hour, obviously only those who were fast got one.
Indeed - i was swayed away from the msi gaming version of 3090 to the strix based on the reviews. Dont regret that one bit.
