Windows 11 Insider Nvidia 515.36

What does this driver give us? Why is this a special win 11 driver? Sorry curious

 

I tried to instal on my windows 10 fully updated but it detects my hardware but when it tries to instal the gpu drivers crashes ending with a failed instal driver. I had to instal the 511.79

 

So 515.36 isn't like below?

• Vulkan 1.2.204
• HLSL Shader Model 6.7+
• CUDA 11.7 SDK
• WDDM 3.1

 

The Vulkan files included in the driver package are 1.2.198.

The other info is correct AFAIK. The Vulkan version gets misstated sometimes when driver installations aren't properly DDU'd. For the person who originally reported this info, it seems like the Vulkan 1.2.198 in the driver package didn't install because they already had 1.2.204 installed, which is considered a downgrade. For cases like this when you want to report the correct Vulkan version of a driver, use DDU.

 

I managed to get this instaled on my gtx 1060 now thanks for the second post and they are faster and smoother in red ded redemption 2 im glad that i had give this a spin.

 

Yes you can i downloaded the fixed file pakage driver and it works feel free to try them up

 

My screen went black and I had to hit the power switch to reboot. hopefully the installation completed..
But they WORK... and they actually seem ok... Nothing has gone haywire yet. and things aren't jerky and laggy...

Don't care for this driver it is an early BETA or ALPHA driver,
Stay on the official nVidia drivers witch suit you best.

Yes of course if it works better for you than the 511.79 i understand.

 

Lost Ark's EAC does not like these, shuts down with a complaint around running with a monitoring overlay.

 

Is there a way to install these on the release build of Windows 11?

 

Unpack and run the setup.
Not worth it over latest WHQL though.

 

Driver will be delivered @ the dev channel

 

Driver works not good at all ,nor on the dev channel release ,it's a junk driver
I tried this driver on my dev win 11 system Ryzen 7 and on my beta win11 system Ryzen 9

 

That didn't work for me. It told me that my hardware or operating system isn't supported. Thanks though, I'll skip these.

 

Well, I'm on retail 22000.527 and the setup worked just fine.
Regardless, it's better to use 511.79 or one of the older released drivers.

 

So far 515.36 , and 461.40 are equal in performance for my system , no issues here .

 

Maybe who knows what's new in WDDM 3.1 vs WDDM 3.0?
