So, when will Guru3D drop "we're using Forza Horizon 5 as our RAY TRACING TITLE", which still boggles my mind this conversation was had in the first place?

Its clear this was intended to be a ~$100, the market is hot, but $200 is just too much for something like this.

    It happened.

    After 20 years.

A proper Geforce FX5200 successor. In 20 years there was no other card that could beat "the FX5200 diseaster".

Honestly it could have been 4GB if it were 8 lanes ... just that would make it a better card for 100-150$ that is :)

Absolutely. Every now and then they have to temper their pro-AMD, anti-NV stance with something critical of AMD for the appearance of balance. Plus they would look too stupid when the entire internet has pissed and crapped over the 6500xt for them to say anything positive about it.

LOOK Its worse than 1650 super in terms of efficiency . Amazing

I just picked one up from Microcenter. I was walking around, saw it, figured why not its $199 and I have a build I could use this with, then I looked at the review and started thinking about the fact that its going to be going with a Ryzen 7 1700 on a B450 board, and then I questioned how much I cared about my potential customers past the warranty period. Honestly I may return it, but its competition for that particular build is a used GTX 970, and i'm genuinely curious to know how they compare with that PCIE 3.0 x4 bottleneck, I guess im about to do some testing before I decide what to do :D :( . I can report back with some results if you guys are curious. That x4 bottleneck is honestly inexcusable (Also whats up with only two display outputs? What is this 2008??), especially since they're using a full x16 sized connector anyway, maybe they'll come out with a V2 thats at least using an x8 connection and comes with double the VRAM for the same price or less and call it a day in the future. Its a shame because the GPU itself is actually pretty decent for what it is, just saddled with failure all around it and priced badly.

it depends if you're gonna play games on it
    if not then leave it

the pcie16x connector is a dummy mostly, they're cutting costs on traces.

What a pathetic GPU, and for the money too, especially as was pointed out that it's not really any faster than the previous gen 5500XT which had more VRAM even. AMD really sh*tting on gamers here, well NVidia too, but this 6500XT launch takes the biscuit of being an already overpriced & already redundant video card before it's even launched, pathetic times.

Yep they're really trying to squeeze every penny out of this one, the entire markets is so messed up right now, at literally every level, it'd be amazing if it wasn't so infuriating and pathetic.

If I'm being honest, about the only thing going through Nvidia's head after watching this launch is "Wait, we could get away with that?? RTX 3050 4gb here we come".

that's still more effort than necessary
they could just re-release 1650 super
12nm and it would still beat this 6nm one

They finally showed up for me.... out of curiosity how does this card compare to a GTX 1050 Ti?? because.. well the price of course, obviously the RX 6500XT's main competitor is the GTX 1050 Ti.
