System requirements sheet, but with a few more cards. Pre-load for Steam will begin Wednesday, Jan 12th @ 8 AM PT!
Will wait and see if 1080p/60 is possible with rx580 8gb and fsr before i get it. It should not be that much slower than gtx1070.
It's a bit strange that they recommend a 1060 for 1080p30, and a 1070, for 1080p60. The 1070 is not 2X more powerful than the 1060. Probably the 1060 6Gb and the 570 will do much more than 30 fps.
Why does someone need a 3080 to max out a game in 4k from 2016? How many extra effects can you thrown onto an old engine? Obviously not optimized if this is the case.
100% these reqruirements arent accurate - especially the cpu reqruirements. At 1080p you need a 4770k for 60 fps... but at 4k you need a 9900k for 60 fps... cause resolution totally affects cpu load... or something...
You should get it regardless, it's easily one of the best games of the past decade. Not sure if you ever played it, or any of the other good PS4 exclusives, but these games are just something else. I wouldn't put much stock in these requirement sheets, ever. They're barely a baseline, if that.
I played Horizon Zero Dawn and it was one of the best games i played last year so yeah, then i should get it.
I guess it depends how much you are into fighting vs open world exploring - seems HZD is more of the latter
Im not much into fighting games tbh, but i will probably just set it on easy and play it for the story
I'll just say this, HZD is a bit of a Tomb Raider Plus, GoW is a true PS4 exclusive in it's execution and production. When it came out, it was just something different. PS exclusives have that magic to them. GoW is a great representative of what PS4 exclusives were all about. God I wish they ported inFAMOUS Second Son, my favourite PS4 game.
I think some of the potential problems with games like this and other PlayStation exclusives, is not that they’re poorly optimised, it’s that they’re heavily optimised for a specific set of hardware, aka consoles, which may just make optimisation for PC hardware that little bit more difficult, especially as I’d assume a lot of the older PlayStation exclusives were never planned for a PC release during development. Either way, I see no reason to complain about performance of a game that hasn’t even been released yet. It’ll be interesting to see how this actually performs in the real world once it’s out, hopefully we’ll all be pleasantly surprised.
I wouldn't say tomb raider, as that is very much about platforming and puzzles, and hzd is more about combat and open world exploring. Star wars jedi : fallen order is more like tomb raider... in space But i very much like tomb raider and hzd - time will show if i will like god of war. Hoping it has a good story, but knowing what kinda games i like, i go into it with low expectations
Here is a comparison of the game using FSR and DLSS https://www.pcmrace.com/2022/01/12/gow-dlss-vs-fsr/
