0. Check inside your BIOS if above 4g and rebar is enabled if not enable it
1. Uninstall your old driver with ddu or AMDCleanupUtility
2. Extract the driver u downloaded from here
3. Navigate into the extracted folder and start "NzSetup.exe"
4. After "NzSetup.exe" started a window will open with the options:

[1] AMD Radeon Driver Installation
[2] AMD Radeon Software UI Classic Component Install/Repair/Remove
[3] Install AMD Additional Components
EXTRAS:
[4] Amernime Zone Diagnostic, Troubleshoot, and Toolkit.

5. Choose option "[3] Install AMD Additional Components" and than "[1] AMD Pci Bus Driver" to install it
6. When the PCI driver is installed close the "NzSetup.exe" window and restart ur pc
7. After the restart u can reopen "NzSetup.exe" and type "1" to install the driver and if wanted the software.
8. When the driver is installed all u have to do is choose option "4" inside the main window of "NzSetup.exe" to get into the "[4] Amernime Zone Diagnostic, Troubleshoot, and Toolkit" menu.
9.There u type "12" for Configure PCI Resizable Bar (AMD Smart Access Memory) and click enable.
10. Restart ur pc and SAM should be enabled

Yes I know this, that's why I posted the GPUz screenshots. My point was that HWiNFO64 always reports ReBar current size as 8GB even when SAM is turned off in the driver, so it only tells you it's enabled in the BIOS and not the driver state (I see many posts where people are using only HWiNFO to check if it's "working").

 

I tested and it didnt work on my R9 290X 4gb, the driver crashes and Halo Infinite runs like 11fps in the menu.

 

Sorry, this trick really works with the latest driver. Before that, I checked on the previous version. I'm going to test Cyberpunk now.

RotTR now gives an error when starting in dx12. And I have already deleted Cyberpunk, tomorrow I will download it and check it.

 

Ryzen 3700X + Asus B550M TUF + RX550 2GB + Windows 10 21H2

Installed the 21.12.1 V4 version and enabled SAM.

1- The performance on The Long Dark was cut in half
2- System responsiveness is gone
3- AMD control panel no longer opens

Turn off rebar /SAM for rx 550 fixed for now in 21.12.1

 

hello mylipho15 , i have finally decided to update the driver on my windows and the video guide, so it will be suitable for the new interface of the installer, also included a few basic tips on how to enable SAM, the version which i recorded is not the latest one but a 21.12.1 rev3.0 for GCN , however i assume the latter ones are exactly same in the setup process (for now), so feel free to update the video guide on the main page
other than that the driver was installed successfully while using the Snappy Driver Installer

Well as far i know is kind hit or miss some boards works some don't i know RX470 and RX570 don't work so far... 390/580 apparently works

 

My msi rx 480 4g gaming x does not work with resizeable bar. Tried it many times with old and new instructions but it basically turns my pc inoperable black screens etc

 

I think you need atleast 8GB of VRAM buffer for SAM to work.

 

I installed 21.12.1 V4 UPD 2.0 and used the trick Kanelogy used. Though AIDA64 shows the heap size 8192 MB, radeon software still does not work, and some games like call of duty cold war runs at 11 fps.

 

I have a problem. I have both a Vega 3 and a GCN (RX 540X) graphics on my laptop. I have tried installing only the GCN driver but my display crashes. Same goes if i install the other nimez driver for vega3. How should i do this?

 

RX 540 considered as Polaris GPU, you should install Polaris/Vega/Navi variant
