That's very good, now let's see if other manufacturers dare too, come on Asrock.

this is great, I have the x370 GAMING PRO with a 3600x, and I wanted a 5800x but... is a bit late, now I'm looking forward to the next architecture change, Ryzen 6000?, the one that will follow the 3DVcache

Until that moment when you get an RX 6800/6900 Gaming X/Z card :D
I've needed to RMA 2 of them...now I'm hoping for the 3rd one to survive my Xmas annual leave.
I only used them undervolted, the 1st try overheated, 2nd died on me in 10 days...3rd one has been in my PC for 6 days...there is still hope :D

But as of now, my MSI X570 Unify is one the best MB I've ever had.

There you go! One board for the whole DDR4 generation for me. One board that does it all. I appreciate it.

It has to do something with A/L adoption, hence green light from AMD to M/B vendors.

Oh look, Intel releases a killer product and suddenly old AMD mobos are compatible with Zen 3. Corporate greed everyone, corporate greed.

Alder Lake is very good but it is by no means a "killer product". I find it very hard to believe AMD has anything to do with this update. It isn't going to increase sales for them by any significant margin given AM4 is basically EOL, and mobo manufacturers would have be paid rather a lot to do this since:
    A. They have to pay engineers to figure out how to implement and test such an update.
    B. They will lose sales of anyone who would have bought a new platform, whether that be AL or AMD's 6000 series.

As you can see from the comments above, some people are hopeful other manufacturers can switch, because not everyone with a 300 series chipset has an MSI board. If this doesn't happen, then that doesn't really help AMD's supposed plans to prevent customers from switching.

    ASRock wont.
Slow bios updates. Why I ditched them after having their X370 Killer SLI board.
All they do is promote shitty Razer sponsored boars and intel crap.

Been on MSI and Gigabyte products since.

Well this comes up rather late, but is epic news especially for those who invested in X370 high end board. I was concerned earlier that they are slipping on proper support, unlike their three main competitors who do things well, since MSI is leaving many latest BIOS' they offer at beta stage, but if they manage this time to offer a polished stable BIOS for such old models then big cudos for that!

I wonder how many people actually benefit from this though by upgrading to Vermeer, because if one wanted Vermeer he already got it with a new board. Windows 11 support is the thing here of course and very welcome.

But always people writing about problem with 6000series , its not good ....
In this hard time (mean GPU price ) i used radeon Chill ,save that 10C in CP2077 .

I would suggest to check it before with ryzen smu checker as my last bios for x370 gaming pro carbon definetely doesnt support vermeer.
    1NY version.

Indeed, my B350 Pro Carbon 7B00v1JS doesnt support Vermeer.
But 7A34v1Q2 Beta for B350 Tomahawk supports it :) Lets hope the rest will follow?

Asrock have enabled Ryzen 5000 series on major A320, B350 and X370 since more than a month.

Not for the boards 3 of my friends are using.
No bios update for over a year.

I could care less though, Asrock is a intel shill company anymore.

Ehhhhh MSI I'm kind of skeptical right now.

I just upgraded to a 5600G on my B450 tomahawk. The rev 6 beta bios they list that support 5000 series didn't work, and they don't have a posted link to the bios that does support it. Even under cpu support that gives the link to the bios that did support it there was no file found. Luckily I did end up finding rev 3 beta bios includes the cpu code for 5000 series, but even then they don't publicly post the link to this anymore.

That's the one posted that didn't work for me. I tried reflashing at least 3 times with the same result.
