March 1st, 2022 will be the date that the desktop application for the cloud storage service Microsoft OneDrive for Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 will no longer be supported by Microsoft.... Microsoft halts Onedrive support on Windows 7, 8 and 8.1
What, and give up OneDrive for Nextcloud, Syncthing, Owncloud or whatever open source software solutions? Not gonna happen, I am not giving up my data mining, privacy invasive BSOD ridden OS for Linux. No sir, I like being punished, mocked and laugh at and paying for it.
Never liked the idea of one drive. Am selective in backups and dont appreciate an app scouring my folders or drives for things to upload when changes detected.
Not like you can control what i scans and up/downloads.... Not much difference from using iCloud, Google Drive and so on either. I have experienced what can happen the hard way when using old backup methods instead, but each to their own I guess.
never liked one drive or the fact it installed ran by defualt... not really fan of cloud storage either. I use but I use from google drive. but there ZERO on cloud that mean anything to me it just randon pictures and wallpapers i collected over decades that. so there is nothing personal on them. There also all saved on HDD i have for external backups. is just easier to get the wallpapers back from cloud then digging out the hdd and it this stuff is also on my game/data ssd too. so i have bac up of backups
