Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition

I find it amusing that they've put something on sale without a single screenshot or a video.
Just give money blindly, it's a remaster - it remasters something.

 

60 euros for a remaster of 3 games is a lot.
Either they have done a great remake, that justifies the price. Or it's an lazy attempt at a quick cash grab.
And remember this is a pre-order, and you know what you get when you pre-order.

Btw, it will have support for DLSS on PC.
And 60fps mode for consoles.

 

Ah, the era of remasters... when is this going to end?

 

I wonder if it is SCM CODE compatible with the original? If so, we can use all the existing mods and trainers to get back to where we left off! I have fully modded out trilogy sitting on my PC that I go back to. I love GTA series... Story telling is awesome...

For folks who never played the original trilogy, each one is worth more than the 20 bux for pure story telling alone. Better than most crap movies nowadays.

 

If the remakes really offer the controls of GTA V, then i'm already sold. Wow. So much wow.

 

Hopefully never, or at least until every good game gets a remaster and there's still about maybe 2,000 games left to go lol. I'm loving it. Remasters, remakes, keep them coming. I want someone to do Comic Zone and Kid Chameleon.

As for the remasters of GTA games, I'm happy. I'm playing GTA 3 right now, trust me the upgraded visuals/graphics are amazing. Just wondering if they plan to do a full remake of those games one day.

On another note, i only think the remasters should be 39.99. Anything higher doesn't make any sense.

 

60 FPS mode makes me hopeful that they fixed bulk of mechanics that were tied to FPS in each game.
But it'll be hilarious that instead of fixing the core issue they just retargetted them to 60 fps instead of 25-30 and playing the game on PC with 100+ fps will still be not viable in 2021.

VC is only one i ever beat rest imo sucked and i just didnt care for san andrea theme THe GTA game before they went 3d were all great though. I saw the price of trilogy. and as much as i want in with current graphic updates , that price is not gona happen. I will buy it when it on sale for 60% off or more

 

they look bad imho.
I know they are just remasters, but those damn character models look like legos with sausage fingers to me.
a big dissapointment.
It will be up to the modding community to fix them...as always

 

Imagine that Rockstar had made a remake, with real effort and gave us something like this.

Speaking of those remasters, well.. it still looks crap. At least they made proper hands now - fingers. XD

 

they put in plenty of effort, you just don't like the retention of art style.

 

I admit I don't like the art style.
And although there are improvements and some effort, it's not as good as it could have been.
The first 3D GTA's had that style mostly because the hardware of the time, was not powerful to make realistic faces and cities.
But now it does have the power. And they could have gone into a realistic style, like they did with GTA's after.
But that would mean more time, money and effort put into this remaster. To the point it would be a proper remake.

But seriously, would you rather have that on the video, or this?

 

i agree that they should have made a remake over a remaster, but the art style fits the original vision so at least there's that.

 

never easier to redo then make something og.


see hollywood since the writers strike, every other thing is a reboot remake or reimagining.
