Life is so uncanny. I read about Sir Clive Sinclair's accomplishments many years ago and remember saying to myself "Oh!" "So that's the guy who made my calculator." He helped mankind advance. We lost a pioneer.
R.I.P., legend. The first home computer, happy childhood, the first ASM programming, games reverse engineering and demomaking experience were on Speccy. Hell, even my nickname came from Speccy world. R.I.P.
I think a Spectrum was the first or one of the first computers for most of us born in the seventies or early eighties. It certainly was for me. RIP Sir Clive, you were a visionary who played an important part in getting PCs into our homes and helped to start our love affair with hardware and software that endures to this very day. You will be sorely missed.
Had all the spectrums, class. Hundreds of hours of my youth until I went to an Amiga. RIP Sir and thank you.
Without this man most of us old farts, who started their childhood with early home computers, wouldn't be here. He was that initial spark for many people I know. Rest in peace sir, thank you for everything you did. Hats off to you, from a Commodore fan, you will be missed.
