Edit: It comes with newer PhysiX, CUDA and audio drivers as well.

Look forwards to your impressions, i've two rigs so not into updating every month but if it's worth it sure.

 

Installed fine on my System, I'll play some games later. On the weekend, I'll install it on my Dad's PC too (it has my old GTX 1070 on it).

Cuda drivers have some nice things I hoped to see on 47X.XX drivers like the DSR resolutions explicit on the "factors" menu and some more options.

Also, if you don't like uptading drivers ever so often, they update these about only once a month!

Downloaded without any registration. This has newer Nvidia HD Audio driver (08/11/2021) 1.3.38.92. Will test later.

 

PhysiX and CUDA drivers are newer too.

First game I've tried (WRC 9) simply didn't launch, giving me an error.

This driver doesn't contain the last fixes from the official branch, like the NVDisplay.Container.exe constantly writes data to C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\nvtopps\nvtopps.db3. [3350171]

So be careful.

 

Gaming@4K: Borderlands 3, AC Valhalla, Control, Cyberpunk 2077, The division 2 so far no problems...

 

Quite a jump in number but still no new CP ? Win11 is almost ready and we're still dealing with WinXP interface..

 

Agreed. Nvidia should do something about their out-of-time CP. Cannot be that complicated...

 

I love the simplicity of the nvcp, no need for anything else imo.

 

Likewise, I like how I don't have to get used to a new interface and always know where the thing I'm looking for is, please don't change it.

Also: this driver works fine here on Bloons TD 6, Cookie Clicker, Cyberpunk, Diablo 3 & Batman Arkham Origins... especially that last one had serious problems with the last PhysX version change.

 

Any way to install the PhysX part only? Aside from copy/pasting replacing the existing files in the installed location.

I checked the PhysX folder after extraction, but there is no separate installer for it, just part of the main setup. Custom install doesn't allow you to untick the driver part.

 

why? its to select options, and it does that well, what more do you need?

 

Select options faster.
I mean, the window of 3D settings does not show all of the settings right away despite huge empty space available. And when you do select various things you have to wait until it applies, blinks a few times, moves list back to the top and then moves back to wherever it was, costing time?

 

Why we don't have or don't use win 3.0 anymore? Because there are better and modern ways of windows. There is always a demand for progressing & optimizing. I.e. I would like to see an operational full dark mode of NVcp. NVcp can be redesigned much better by Nvidia. No need to protect their excuse for laziness. October 2021 Win 11 arrives with many news. When does Nvidia progress and offer a better, advanced or enhanced CP?

 

i'd sooner it just worked, and did it well, than fancy animations, i find the amd one cluttered and across various tabs. I'd hate that.

what else would you be doing with those couple of seconds that you lose once every few weeks?

 

unpack and replace the physx of your current driver and reinstall it

 

NVCP dark mode, that would rock.
