Do you see any benefit over 21.7.2?

If any have GPU from ASUS Strix maybe need this fix
Hardware Unboxed found a fix to RX 5700XT

I got a ASUS Strix RX Vega 64 that sometime I had to restart driver/windows (ones per day), I did this fix and Vega 64 has been stable for 1½ year

I get about 1000 more points in 3dmark Time Spy but I didn't test it for a while and it could be either because of earlier AMD GPU driver updates and/or Microsoft fixing game performance in Windows 10. I have zero evidence that 2.8.1 cause the 5% uptick in performance across the board. Other than that everything seems to be working as intended so I am happy.

I would hazard a guess that if you don't have a 6600XT or do 4k Youtube videos then there is no reason to update to 2.8.1.

Yeah, but it doesn't always work well for many games e.g. CP2077 injection.

Sorry but amd has to get a grip, this is the third new driver i install for my rx 580 and stutters like a mess in cod warzone, sadly but fortunately i have to go to the old 21.2.3 version to remove that awful stutter, seriously amd???? And please no one defend them, they just can t do decent new drivers..

Well for me these drivers were not that good, stuttering in AC Valhalla and witcher 3 and others

best combo in a long time I have found is using windows 10 dev version 21390.2025 and the latest uwp drivers

whole system is smooth as butter, games run perfectly smooth with freesync

Ever considered it to be only "fully fixable" on the engine side ? Look in the earlier one or two driver threads - I believe someone has posted there a working workaround for Warzone stuttering.

A, sh.t...I installed them about an hour ago (admin install, as usual), got a "fail" message after a minute or two.

The report said that everything was a succes, except the PSP driver.

    Oh, well.

Step 1: Go to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features then uninstall AMD chipset
    Step 2: Download https://github.com/lostindark/DriverStoreExplorer/releases then run Rapr.exe
Step 3: Turn off Ethernet or Wifi
Step 4: In Rapr check AMD System Devices & Security Devices drivers as well Force Deletion then click Delete Drivers then reboot
    Screenshot 2021-08-23 212325.jpg
Step 5: Install new AMD chipset drivers offline then reboot, now enable Ethernet or Wifi.

This didn't work either, unfortunately. There was no "AMD Chipset Drivers" entry to uninstall, to begin with (don't know shy). I followed the rest of steps, selected the "AMD System devices" and deleted them, rebooted, run the installer again, but...

This time, no package at all was installed.

Anyway, I got to the Device Manager and updated each device driver manually by selecting each package respectively (just selecting the "Chipset_Software" folder wouldn't do anything, "Include Subfolders" checked) and got everything to work (or seem to work), except the "Embedded SMBus" (couldn't find any appropriate driver).

Thank you for your suggestions, could be useful at some future point.
