Interesting....Do you think Is this also going to work with the (older)Intel CPU's with AMD GPU?

 

On intel, Re-Bar is introduced on haswell, but skylake was first implemented. On amd side, maybe on some 300 chipset series, but so far only 400 chipset series is implemented. We don't know amd fx era can use this rebar feature.

 

Ok...so seems like chances are slim to none that this is ever going to work on X79/Platform?


Also in GPU-Z stands that R9 Fury is Unsupported GPU....so there is that....

 

Really? There's something to do in bios to activate the feature. so bizarre while regular R9 300 series can use that feature.

Yeah...this is still all new.....so as it seems is more to the motherboard feature I was checking my bios and I only found "above 4G decoding"...who knows maybe some guys going to mod the bios for certain old motherboards.....

 

Same here but with X370 Gaming Pro motherboard. X370 chipset + MSI = bad BIOS support. Well, at least I got it at the great price.

 

Bench Test? i have made only one by Cyber Punk 2077.
Always Gaming with SAM/BAR ist more liquid, fexp. you know bad IVTC Streams oder BAD FPS Videostrems the lags/stutters? If you use SAM/BAR this effect in Games are gone. Allover its more stable and feels smother.

Is it possible to make a driver with gcn+ polaris drivers? There are laptops which use R7 gpu with polaris RX gpuz. In this case maybe we could use the base kernel for the r7 to further use oc, and use the normal wddm3 one for the rx dedicated gpu.

 

i've tried this before, resulted error code 43 in both gpu. Even with different driver for each gpu.

Yes. there's a plan modding for legacy terascale dx10 in near future. Currently working on final driver for Legacy terascale dx11 HD 5000 & 6000.

This update for GCN fixed the installation issue of AMD Radeon Software BUT, It only works with PowerShell. App Installer still reports the same error, which indicates that it's the problem with it, not with the driver. So for GCN users, If you have the same error like me with App Installer and you want to install UWP AMD Radeon Software, use Powershell command:

Add-AppxPackage -Path "Your Path\NimeZForce-UWP_10.20.50016.0_x64.msix"

After that restart your PC.

Launch AMD Radeon Software from start menu, not from context menu as it's not working there (nothing launches, nothing happens, at least for me).
To remove AMD Radeon Software from context menu, open regedit & go to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Directory\background\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers

& remove ACE folder.

You need classic radeon, not uwp version
