I agree with the supply side. I don't think AMD is getting cocky. With V-cache incoming and the rumor's on Zen4 they are not letting up. Lisa being an engineer with a PhD from MIT I don't think she will ever get cocky on the tech side of things. People with that much science and math tend to look at things more in a scientific method way so she will certainty see how Intel's upcoming products will be very good. With Pat and Lisa running things I think we are in for a relentless back and forth.

I understand what you're saying, but there is no denying that their products are becoming much more and more expensive year after year, and not everyone can or willing to pay for them.

Things are priced well imho, My 5800X was worth $400 easily.
    Great CPU for the money.

Now theyre getting to be outright cheap at closer to $350, probably hit $300 around xmas unless supply remains low.

No reason for AMD to go low on price when they have the best product out there.
They can always drop it later when Intel catches up.

Naw, you just sound poor. They are priced within what they are worth.

    Exceptional and as expected.

AMD slowly but surely taking over as the dominant CPU/GPU maker.

CPU division fixed and on track = check
GPU division fixed and on track = check
HEDT/Server division fixed and on track = check
Laptop/APU division fixed and on track = check
OEM partnerships fixed and on track = check
Mobile chip division fixed and on track = check
Brand recognition fixed and on track = check

Now just make sure R&D funding keeps pumping and everything is looking good!

Come on Intel.... do something... I want a war!

True, there is no denying that.

But if you look at 7850 2 GB $250 (from 2012) we went to RX480 8 GB $240 (from 2016) we got 4x more VRAM and +100% (2x) performance, now we got an RX6600XT 8GB for $380 in 2021, it costs $140 (+55-60%) more for +100% performance, whether i'm poor or not 5 years later it's just not enough.

It's just not a good price for a 1080p card. No to mention their increased cpu prices. But at least i know that many others won't buy these products.

In fairness it's great there are now 2 manufacturers that actually compete with each other.
I'm actually hoping Core 12th gen is faster than Zen 3 and Zen 4 is then faster than Core 12th gen and so on.

    With reasonable thermals and pricing!

Yes but then their competitors are not cheaper either. While what you said is true it only matters if their competitors are cheaper. In this case demand has outstripped supply by a large margin and everything in tech costs more.
