I love how people still think crypto is fake money. Or rather that normal money is more real than crypto.

My house (which we paid $200,000 for in 2012) has gone up in value by over $200,000 in the last year. Just by existing, no improvements, nothing new built nearby, nothing - it's all because people want to live around here more than they used to. And people insist that this money is "real", but crypto isn't.

The problem is that we need crypto (exemple: Visa security is based on etherum until they pass to their own system (one of the reason of the fall) ) the problem is that human are too stupid to abuse of this system, and need money.
So the solution would be remove human and/or remove the money system... Both would be tabula rasa.

Without regulation and stability it can only be considered as rank 2 money or speculative money.
You can't buy it now and think to have the same value few hour after the amplitude is too big in both way up or down.
It's usefull for that and will be without interest if regular money.

Lack of regulation is the biggest issue, thanks to Crypto Currencies drugs have become purer and more accessible, beside other abuses that can be done with a virtual currency, financing terrorism as example.
Some might not like to hear this, but it also makes every miner part of the problem.

Yeah mining is big problem, genetically modifying Gods work fine though, sex-changing children fine tho, governments arming foreign rebels fine tho.
    Mining is big problem LOL.

“Burning fossil fuel amid climate change to make fake money is ridiculous,” says Yvonne Taylor, Lake Seneca's “forest ranger”

Looks like the 'air quotes' on the "forest ranger" description are about right.

It is allowed to multitask, we do not need to solve world hunger before making mining illegal.

Personally I am pretty pissed about having to use 15 minutes every day for ½ year now, to check prices and availability on GPUes.
My Vega has been unstable for almost a year, but i refuse to pay more then 1000€ for a 2080 or a 3060.

"the power plant's environmental impact has never been better than it is now . "

I just wish I had the absolute balls of steel of the fossil-fuel burning power-plant owner to be able to say anything like that with a straight face.

Like Fred West coming out and saying "My killing spree has never been at such a low point as it is now - everybody should thank and praise me"

True what they say, sociopaths do rise to the top of most big companies/industries.

Not mocking anyone, it is travesty but you have wonder how global warming coupled with bad management of the deceased can be even worst.

When you become a sheep and let your governments run all over you, give up your rights, freedom and liberty, you deserve NONE of it.

I think most places' names are associated with their most known cities rather than whole state/country/area. You can rest assured that when somebody says France, everyone else thinks of Paris.
