The #fuckelon is a twitter-meta related thing. It's not actually meant to be too serious. It's related to Max Keiser's f*ck elon event https://twitter.com/maxkeiser/status/1408812412065783808 and how that came about ( which is not worth getting into ).
But, I can totally see how people could take Samson Mow's tweet as being purely about the tesla car issue.
So, I just wanted to add some context to that. As a lot of people commenting in this thread haven't even watched tf's videos, let alone anything related to what i was just giving context to.

A quick indication how commercially sound is the entire idea:

A theoretical shortest-path fiber connection between NYC and London is 5,577 km (3,465 miles) long (assuming Earth radius of 6,378 km). Over such minimum distance, fiber cannot deliver round-trip latency below 55 milliseconds due to fiber’s light refraction index, which essentially makes light travel around 40% slower than in vacuum. Indeed, recorded latency metrics (PINGs) between NYC and London across commercial submarine fiber cables consistently show a round-trip delay floor of 70 milliseconds. Commercial fiber cables have multiple hops and network nodes so rarely run along “great-circle”, shortest paths between two end points.

Nevertheless, there is a fiber-optics network implementation with ultra-low latency purposely built to target financial players that achieves the lowest possible delay, close to the theoretical limits: GTT’s acquired Hibernia Subsea cable route provides a round-trip latency of just under 59 milliseconds between New York’s NY4 and London’s LD4 exchange data centers.

A LEO satellite constellation with orbits at an altitude of 550 km can be 12 milliseconds faster than fiber optics (round trip propagation latency).

tech improvements over the last 10 years are probably significant. On Musk, he's actually built something that works and people like, so what have "thunderfoot" and the rest of the critics done to better mankind?

But yeah, lets worry about things like terra forming and colonizing "Mars" and communicating with "alien life" when we cant even terra form the LA area or communicate effectively with dolphins or elephants. We'll do much better communicating with, lets say, a sentient gas than we will with creatures who share the vast majority of our DNA, pretty damn obvious of you just use your head for a basic ass minute.

What exactly has he built that betters mankind? Better yet what has be built that actually works?, at least works within the statements that Musk himself has said?

Starlink, global internet coverage to rival traditional land based coverage? NOPE
Tesla, fully self driving EVs that rival traditional ICE cars in total functionality and cost? NOPE
Space X get to Mars and turn it in to a colony? NOPE
Boring company make cheaper more functional tunnels? NOPE
Hyperloop? Every part of THAT project is a massive NOPE
EV HGV? NOPE

If anyone else, ANY other CEO had as much social media coverage as Musk seems to get, talked the utter rubbish he talks and failed to deliver the promises that he has then they would have been hounded in to oblivion by now but Musk just seems to get away with it.

Richard Branson actually went 'into space' this week (well technically he didn't go in to space as he didn't actually cross the Karman Line but he got damn close) and what was his social media coverage of it? Next to nothing! If that had been Musk (LOL it would never be Musk he's the sort of guy that will risk other people's lives but never for one second his own) it would have been treated like he was doing something unique and amazing, a first of its kind that no other person on the planet had ever done and how because he was doing it, it was some how uniquely special and infinitely more amazing than anything that NASA and the Roscosmos where doing 6 decades ago. Better yet Bezos is about to do it in a few days time what's the media coverage on that like, again next to nothing but if it was Musk we would have heard about it none stop for months.

Musk needs to just push off and shut the hell up, if he spent less time trying to be the social media whore manipulating cryptocurrencies, 'influencing' stupid people and talking BS constantly and actually worked on what he loves to talk about he may have actually delivered one maybe even two of the over blown nonsense promises he's been making over the last decade. Anyone who debunks the nonsense the guy talks is doing a worthy job as their are way to many folk who seem to think that the sun and god shine out of Musk's backside (I am sure he probably has tried to claim that at some point in the past as well) (PS sarcasm!)
