Well that was a surprise, on the XBX Forza 5 popped up on my gamepass list for pre-install, about 230 meg, so that answers the question of will it be coming out on the XBX.
Can anybody help me out, i bought an older 120hz monitor, Alienware AW2310 with 3D support. But i can't get 120hz to work, and so far i know i have to use the DVI-D (dual link) output to get 120hz. (Says Dell themselves through a google search.) I had to buy a DVI > HDMI cable and it has DVI-D Dual Link to HDMI 2.0 version, shouldnt that be enough? I bought another cable that says 4K 30hz, the one i have now says up to 1080p which is why i bought it. Really can't afford a new monitor right now, this one was cheap and i didn't think about the old HDMI version of this screen before buying.
And with fact they use dynamic res in almost everything these day it is possible they lock it to 2.1 cause it can fluctuate from 1440p to 4k? I certian would lock the function if i was dev special if game fluctuate from 1440p to 4k Not say it true just saying that dynamic res change could be issue if it going from 1440p to 4k at random
good point but remember this is internal resolution, not output you're talking about it's like your resolution scaling slider in your game, not display resolution.
if it does 4k it still needs that bandwidth to output, which is why i mentioned 2.1 might be required even if it is "internal scaling" 4k skill need same bandwidth last I check. either way just a thought
Ordered a Samsung QE55QN95A on Friday, so can now look at unboxing the Series X as I've had it a month and it hadn't even been taken out the beige box it was delivered in. I was all for OLED until i saw one in person and realised I spend most of my time in a bright room.
In the middle of a house move that has dragged on so it was packed away. Should have opened it to at least check everything was OK, but also because I should have activated the game pass code and not forgot and paid for another month separately.
Xbox upscales and downscales. So you lose nothing resolution wise. Quality will be exactly the same either 1080p, 1440, or 4k/8k as long as we talk about native resolution of the screen. Only FPS feeling will be out, as FPS 60 is the new minimum and you cannot compensate for that 120fps loss.
And expensive, and the fact my new TV is also Gsync compatible has me looking at new GPUs isn't helping. No stock is probably for the best.
No stock is great for me atm seeing it Keep me from buy a new gpu which would results in have zero but to buy new monitor too, most card a 1 HDMI and see my TV need HDMI i cant use for my Monitor which is DVI or HDMI. less i stop using either TV or Monitor I would not be able to use both
TV arriving later today, but question for anyone who uses the Series X for non 4k video content. Samsung seem to think highly of the upscale quality, how is the Series X for BluRay etc.. and if i want the TV to do it instead do i need to uncheck 2160p within the Series X settings?
