I happen to open my update settings in Windows 10 and noticed this is listed as an optional update. I read through this thread. I have no issues right now with anything. Seems this might create some. Just a quick, simple question. Should I go ahead and push it through? Yes, no, doesn't matter either way?
Up to you it will be pushed to everyone in July's CU. I installed it with no problems but every system is unique.
Just out of curiosity I was going to try this but it seems it's broken... is there a trick to making this work or am I just stupid and it won't work for consumer os?
Insider enrollment is closed, you can use a MDL tool called OffLine Enrollment if you really want to force your way.
I gave up already.. it kept continuously failing to install, I thought... well that seems about right.. and then left insider.
I had numerous issues trying to install cumulative Windows 10 updates after 19043.928 as the updates would hang post-reboot during the install between the BIOS logo and Windows login screen. The error was 0xe0000100. The weird thing was that I had no crashes and sfc /scannow and dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth reported no errors. Tried everything including resetting the Windows Update components to no avail. Windows 10 was healthy but apparently no healthy enough for new updates. Anyway, I fixed the issue over the weekend by doing an in-place upgrade of Windows 10 from the USB ISO I had created last month for v21H1. I didn't expect it to work but it did so now I am on Build 19043.1081. Not sure why it wouldn't update before but if anyone is having problems then doing an in-place upgrade and selecting Keeps Apps/Personal Settings will more than likely fix this plus you do not lose anything other than the Windows background you had set (as least as far as I can tell as all my game installs and customisations, even the graphics driver version I was using, are all as they were before the upgrade).
I boot up my pc to see "new" service running? that was not there, before there has not beein update to my system since 6-16 intel sgx apoplication enclave service? reliability monitor shows Intel Corporation - System - 2.12.100.4 Intel Corporation - SoftwareComponent - 2.12.103.1 where update on 27th but this service didnt show till today. SGX is disabled in my Bios and has been since day one I never once saw such service till today, so less someone can tell what is why i need i have set the service to manual instead of automatic start.
Just noticed something kinda strange.. I opened a Animated .Gif, for me by default that is with Internet Explorer .. just by chance I had Net Limiter open and saw Microsoft Edge internet activity appear when I closed IE / the .gif I had just opened, I had not opened Microsoft Edge, and I have it's automatic updater disabled as I don't use Edge.
I ended up blocking it so It can't access the net xD Just learned that if you take a youtube link from Firefox then paste it in Internet Explorer and hit enter it will then open Edge... lol Microsoft will Microsoft. *edit* Figured it out, there is an option in Edge to stop this behavior.
On the default browser tab in Edge, the setting > "Let Internet Explorer open sites in Microsoft Edge " > Never
