Hi all, ive recently upgraded to a 6700xt from a RTX 2060. im getting way more fps in all games, but im getting a fair tad of stuttering at high fps. Im using a 144hz screen and the latest 21.5.2 drivers. Ive been away from Radeon for many years so im not really upto date with the drivers. Is there a common problem with the current drivers regarding performance in games???

I've seen users reporting stuttering on warzone and going back to 21.3.2 actually fixes it. As for outriders even nvidia users have issues, game isnt the best optimized.

I would recommend for Outriders at least to add game shortcut parameter -dx12 as AMD cards run with it noticeably better.

After reading this I gave 20.11.2 a try and it is indeed more stable in the game I was playing (Path of Exile), with the latest one I'll have constant stutter and straight up game freezes where with 20.11.2 I'll just have lower FPS but the game won't freeze. With latest one GPU usage % is garbage up and down nonstop as well.

This was the last driver supporting Windows 7 and pre-Polaris µarch.

Why is minimal installation no longer offered as an option with this driver? And why is AMD Radeon Software (CCC) not automatically installed?

For me CCC was installed without any issues. Have you tried to clean-install ?

Yes, with both DDU and AMD cleanup utility. The installer is in C:\Program Files\AMD\CCC2\Install, but for some reason it installs to C:\AMD\WU-CCC2 without prompting for a destination folder.

I do not have any stuttering issue at all.....
    Prozzi 5800X AMD
Asus ROG Strix B550-E Gaming 2404 Beta
    Kingston HyperX KHX3600C17D4/16GX *2
XFX Speedster RX 6800 XT MERC319
    Dark Power 12 1000 Watt
Stock speed Prozzi (boost not even enabled and nice cold)
Ram runs with XMP profile 3600
    Soundcard AE-9PE

ah here. Windows 11 build 22000.1 not any blue screens or black screens at all. Stable.

How about you simply turn off AMD boost just to check? The boost from the CPU, not the GPU. Disable precision boost, too. For example, my CPU runs maximum 3,8ghz, which is totally okay for me. Cheers.
