Its great game even on PS4 or PS5, currently enjoying it on PS5 and have installed as well on my PC and compare later on but for sure, its one of best recent PS ports

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

How the hell are we supposed to realize you cant save the game unless you are near the bed or the bike even tho save option is there only to find out you start from the cutscene.

    Developers this days...

Not good enough, you need a loading screen dedicated just for that... followed by a cutscene of the main character's instructions on how save the game and reminding you where to look should you forget mid game how the saving system works.

Yeah that surprised me as well, thought neat manual saving but load reverted to last autosave / checkpoint.

I’m enjoying this a lot more than I expected based on reviews, it has a particular atmosphere that really draws me in.

The HDR implementation is truly something special as well.

Same, there's just something about the setting, atmosphere and story that works.

This feels like a game that is more than a sum of its parts.
I guess any individual part of the game isn't that unique but put together they work well.

Still want to emphasize how good mouse aiming is and that's great because you really must land your shots and there's a similar mechanic to Resi 2 remake where it takes a while to get accurate aim.

Keyboard movement isn't too bad either, I would say a bit clumsy in tight places but this ain't Doom Eternal.
Input response is snappy here too.
Extra kudos for having a sensitivity setting for bike steering as default is too much for me at least.

Indeed. The game is very polished and the HDR is done right. Very impressive.

So far i like the game but i dont think it will beat the hzd which was just one of the best games i played last year. Only issue i had was with the save files until i realized whats happening.

Still im enjoying it alot, performs great, looks great, plays great. No wonder people want a sequel so bad.

I only wish shadow draw distance can be set further. The short shadow draw distance becomes very noticeable in the afternoon before sunset.

I noticed Days Gone only has Manifest.ini in the location where UE4 games usually have Engine.ini and other .ini files.

Tried creating Engine.ini manually to disable film grain with:

    [SystemSettings]
    r.Tonemapper.GrainQuantization=0

but doesn't seem to have an effect.

I guess the customized UE4 engine used doesn't use the regular UE4 .inis at all but the configuration is done elsewhere.

Also latest release of DXVK will not work, game runs at 2 fps (known issue) but the latest master branch should already contain a fix so either compile from master yourself or wait for next release.

Did you go to this folder?

    %LOCALAPPDATA%\BendGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\

  16. I believe it was sarcasm.

    Use UserSettings.ini instead.
Set it in the Scalability Groups.

I can try but given those files are missing too and creating Engine.ini did nothing, I doubt it'll work.

Only file in the location was Manifest.ini and it had only entry Version 2 or smth.

Are the config files is some other place?
Are you playing the steam version?
