just tried the new version on a laptop with 8690M, and now the clocks are stuck on load to 400/300

EDIT: 21.5.1 does it too

 

same problem with me too, HD 8790M. The only fixes for me just by Overclocking through Sapphire Trixx (v.4.8.6), currently using 21.5.2. But I suggest stays on 21.3.2 or 21.4 LTS, its more stable.

Is MSI Afterburner extended OC working on this version for mobile GPU? btw thanks for the driver (i would like to change voltage too, and memory timingan power usage, which afaik Trixx can't, so I kinda rely on Wattman)

 

It should be working for mobile radeon gpu's ranging from Radeon HD series to recent devices. Another report mobile user RX 560X can extended overlocking with MSI Afterburner. The only reason i use sapphire Trixx, because "THIS" only program can do with my old 8790M.

I'm pretty sure extending the gpu queue to 8 might get better benchmark scores but as far as twitch based and VR gaming goes 8 doesn't work so well. Every time you do a quick move or change vertical levels it'll stutter at 8. I set it to 2 from the registry here HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0000\UMD and so far it's stutter free.

 

Just registered to say thank you for this driver! Overall better performance with my RX560! Hope you will keep updating

 

When right clicking on the screen, why is there no Amd Driver?

 

This things only happens when you don't put the CCC2_Installer on Dependencies folder. You have to install it manually and it's easy. Check WHQL Status is Yes at dxdiag after installing CCC2_Installer.

I use the first time this driver and i have install Adrenalin UI Dependencies but after reboot there is no icon in taskbar for settings. Also Enhanced Sync and Radeon Boost was not enabled.

 

I have the icon.

 

This is first time I have seen this mod driver and I need to now the freesync alt tab locked from original driver became in this mod.

So extended OC and wattman was taken out for mobile GPU-s, can you somehow mod it back? I'm still stuck with older versions just because of this, without the Wattman tweaks it's really terrible.

 

unfortunately this can't be modded, It's from low-level kernel drivers called atikmdag.sys, Only binary-catalog optimization i can made for this driver. I assume if this problem still persist on next release in (21.6 and 21.7), yes this caused by "freshy" driver kernel since 21.4.1. Only 21.3.2 and 21.Q2 Enterprise had no problem with this matter.

Try using ddu, or use 21.5.1 instead.

 

Cheers DDU fixed it. I usually steer clear of DDU as I've had some pretty BAD experiences where it hosed my system and I couldn't even install any new Graphics drivers and windows showed just the Basic graphics driver. First time I used it on Win10, Was apprehensive but all was well in the end. Also fixed my Memory clocks stuck at 1750. OK scrap the bit about memory being stuck at 1750, goes to 1748 when monitor goes to sleep and stays there until a reboot. Why AMD just why has this plagued you since way back in the 480-580 days.
