The HDR OLED Hype has me impressed,so much so I thinking of replacing my TV and Monitors with these things.

Got another monitor today ,yes I mean monitor for gaming and Damm this thing is sweet.Blows away my 4K Freesync IPS monitors/G-Sync 165Hz monitor.

Best thing it has G-sync/Freesync/Adaptive Sync working over HDMI on Nvidia Card and when firmware is released it can do 120Hz G-sync HDMI @4K.

LG 65" 4K UHD HDR OLED WebOS Smart TV (OLED65B9PUA)

    As of right now G-Sync HDMI,only have 1.4 HDMI cable,also 2.1 not released yet for 4K 120Hz
    4096x2160 G-sync/Freesync/Adaptive Range 24Hz-60Hz
    2560x1440 G-sync/Freesync/Adaptive Range 24Hz-120Hz

Not to distant future when 2.1 comes out
    4096x2160 G-sync/Freesync/Adaptive Range 24Hz-120Hz

Once you go OLED, you cannot go back or was that something else... :D

Congrats. I am waiting for OLED to drop in price myself.

I just got a dose of reality.Motion is a blurry, artifacting mess in sports . Although to be fair I did not calibrate the TV yet.I feel this will not save the motion artifacts and blur.
PC gaming out of this world good with HDR.
    Movie 4K content awesome
Sports suck hard so I will not be replacing my TV's and monitors as of today ,it is just not a good option for me.
    Hockey Blurry mess with artifacts
    Golf Unwatchable visual artifacts
Football Semi OK with less artifacts
Basketball Semi OK with less artifacts

Play with settings. No TV nor monitor are all rounders. For my taste OLED is perfect. Well, until I got used to it. If you check your options correctly you should have no problems. No artifacts there I can distinguish.

Why not C1 of 2021? CX is old now. And it is worse than both C9 and C1.

Many people these days can't make their mind between a high refresh rate gaming monitor and an 120Hz LED TV.
So it would be interesting to share you first impressions on gaming experience(and not only)

How is gaming compared to your Predator?

RTX 2080 is unable to drive this TV at 4K 120 Hz due to lack of HDMI 2.1
The only cards capable this HDMI speed are NV 3000 series and AMD's 6000 series (both of which are extremely difficult to find and massively overpriced)

I have a C9 55" for more than an year now, it's simply fantastic for watching movies, but I'd rather not game at 60 Hz until I can finally buy a decently priced GPU with HDMI 2.1

    ---
On the other hand, Full HD (1080p) @ 120 Hz does work with my GTX 1080, which I did use to play DOOM (and it looks fantastic ! ... even if upscaled)

I have a rtx3080 FE as well and compared to the acer
for instance : I can run hdr at 120hz vs only 98hz on the acer
and at rgb 10 bit ,it looks awesome and the response is great
so the panel is better ,just as smooth and twice as big,lol

I've owned this cx55 for about a month now and I couldn't be happier.
I'll never go back . the speed is just as good as my acer was and the picture blows it away
    no pixel problems as well
I would highly recommend it to anyone who's on the edge .

OLED user myself. The picture is phenomenal. 4k@ 120hz is a treat. My PC and console gaming visuals are pure bliss. I've read that LG will be changing the panels in 2022 along with full support for 12 bit color. My C9 sets and CX are still picture perfect but I will sell one these televisions if changes are made in 2022.

Do any of you game @ 4096x2160? Some titles look cool and some look out of proportion. Sometimes I'll do it to test my system.

I do and it looks fine to me
Most AAA games have support for that resolution
And I will definitely jump to a 12 bit panel next year if they do

Since I made this thread ,the LG B9 65" hit 7000Hrs today and looks better today then when I first bought the monitor. No burn in at all on this TV yet, going to replace all my 4K TV with the newer LG screens C1.

Since update in firmware 5.0.0.2 4K 4096x2160 120.00 Hz HDR 12Bit RGB works fine

Higher end model like the CX 4K-120Hz 4:4:4 RGB 10 bit w/HDR 40 GBPS.
The lower tier model B9 4K-120Hz 4:4:4 RGB 12 bit w/HDR 48 GBPS .There just numbers and I sure it makes no difference.
Any LG OLED with 4K 120Hz G-sync/VRR is a great PC/Console gaming monitor and best in the market.

LOL. Yes. Even though the C9 and CX show 12 bit in some software, the panels are 10 bit. The same goes for the C1. The C1 does have quite a few gaming enhancements over the previous models but the panels are still 10 bit as well. The 48gb HDMI 2.1 ports are not showing any enhancements over the 40gb ports. I don't think they ever will. One thing for sure is that our televisions are perfect for our cards. ;):)

Absolutely. Myself and others have compared multiple LG OLED televisions. To be truly honest, the differences are miniscule. Some are a tad brighter (older models) and some have better clarity for SD content. In regards to games the differences are practically 0. My family and friends are blown away by Horizon Zero Dawn PC displayed on the C9 and CX. My neighbor has the C8 and he plays Forza, Dirt 5 and sports games. I made a few tweaks to his television and PC. He says he's keeping his C8 forever unless it gives him issues. Lol. I can't blame him.

For me 4096x2160 works perfectly for many titles but some titles like Street Fighter V give me the black bars on the left and right. I'm a huge SFV gamer and I would like to play it at the highest resolution. I'm going to play with the ratios in the Nvidia Control Panel. Hopefully that will fix it.

    The C8 is indeed a 4K 120hz television.
