Hello, Are these temps normal for 10850k, I have tried two different thermal compounds, deepcool z5 and noctua nt-h1, same result. Cpu Cooler is 3 years old corsair h100i v2 with fans at 100%. after the cinebench test, liquid temp is 45c while room temp is 30c. I left GTA 5 running (Vsync off) for 15 mins at one scene, max temps were 76 c, while average were around 70c. Here are the test results after running Cinebench R23 for 10 minutes with both compounds. Is my Cooler drying out or am I doing something wrong..???
^ Load temps, not idle is the issue. OP, what mobo you have? Some mobos dont stick to intel spec and have aggressive settings out of the box which can run things hot. The vcore @ 1.37v is too high (probably on auto) with no power limits at 249w. Probably exacerbating that may be multi-core enhancements enabled.
Mobo is Asus z490e. multicore enhancements is asus optimized Xmp makes the vcore voltage high. disabling xmp does bring down the temps a little. I clicked F3 at first boot for limits removed.
