I enjoy vicious banter, but let's stay on topic. These drivers are 'fine', I haven't noticed anything really. This release is a little underwhelming, not sure why they bothered.

    Possible bug here:
Have one G-Sync compatible monitor and a non VRR TV.
    I use the usual setup:
    • NVCP VSync on
    • NVCP G-Sync on / Monitor FreeSync on
    • NVCP Max Frame Rate disabled
    • RTSS framerate cap 3 frames below refresh
    • I also have NVCP Low Latency Mode off
Of the few games I play on the TV, I have set their respective RTSS profiles to cap framerate to (refresh rate - 0.01).
It's worked just fine except for this driver.
It seems the NVCP Max Frame Rate setting enables itself whenever VSync is on.
So, running a game on the TV caps the framerate to 58 fps, never reaching my RTSS cap and hence stuttering every now and then because of the missing frames.
I can bypass the behavior by simply setting the game's NVCP profile to something higher than 60 so the RTSS profile takes over.

So in summary, enabling VSync engages NVCP Max Frame Rate, even if Low Latency Mode is not enabled.
I know this is intended behavior on G-Sync displays, but only if Low Latency Mode is set to Ultra.

Edit: Solved! Resetting the Max Frame Rate value to Off (after changing it from its default of 58 fps) and restarting the PC restored previous behavior.

Anybody notice any weird graphical glitching at all since installing this driver?
It rarely happens, but had it in Valorant, Apex, and Warzone.
very rare but does happen. Only started with this driver install.

Auto-capping with Vsync+Gsync should only kick in if ULLM is enabled, no?

Hi @ManuelG thanks for reply. I own a
    MSI GE76 Raider 10UH-288 with a RTX 3080 16GB.

Any idea if this could be a bug on Nvidia driver site? As I said, until 461.40 everything runs perfect in Discrete GPU mode.

yip, newest Dragon Center installed, but normally I switch GPU mode through BIOS, so independent from Dragon Center

With this terrible driver, I am now unable to play Forza Horizon 4 on Ultra 4K 120 hz settings on my RTX 3080. Previous driver there was no drop in frames. Smooth constant 120fps on Ultra Dynamic Optimisation. I keep BAR on.

But your "point" doesn't address anything. Why would they put it on the whitelist if they haven't seen any speed up? Why do you think stuff got on the whitelist in the first place? Thats the point.

Isn't it possible that the entire configuration of the system matters, so one system may see speed ups, and one may not?

All I hear from people here is bashing with no thought. Just parroting what they saw in some video, without background or context.

No. Control Panel Vsync when Gsync is enabled will always cap the framerate. From my experience, it seems to depend on whether Low Latency Mode is Off, On or Ultra-Low how "aggressive" that cap will be, however. This is how it's worked for a long time now.

They run ok in Destiny2, actually much better then earlier 465.89, I had some stability issues with those. This 466.11 is the best so far.

I really wish they added an option to export and import profiles via the control panel.

Hm it appears there is a regression for me. I got the RTX blackscreen during just browsing and listening to Spotify (Firefox, HW-accelerated, sound from GPU via HDMI) again which they had fixed 2 or 3 versions back. This time i got an eventlog "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

HAGS is off in Windows, REBAR is off in BIOS

Sorry, it’s not a driver problem
