When i am in sneaking mode its fine, no hangs. Hangs happen when i am detected by enemies and start fighting. Then randomly it will hang. Also i checked youtube and someones play on fight mode and no hangs. Maybe it was older version of game?
I think that (in your case) the culprit is some of visual effects used in fight. I doubt that AI or script code can lock the process. (But who knows...)
I just mean that AI and script code should not depend of CPU and GPU models. I played Metro Exodus on 1070 and on 2070 - but always in non lethal way for Taiga level - and I have never experienced locks.
The same thing was happening on my previously pc with other parts. So i doubt its again hardware issue?/ When i am sneaking and i am not detected and not killing on first camp it will not hang. Its the game issue?
Just watched it... alex really is the biggest dlss and raytracing fanboy in the world, so im gonna take everything he said with a truckload of salt. Just judging by the images on the video, i often thought the 2019 image looked better.
That is very true. He really loves that ray-tracing, even when it hurts performance too much. And DF have been a real shill for nVidia. To the point of getting an RTX 3080 several days before every other reviewer.
Having just watched it, I love RT in this game and with the side-by-side comparisons it became painfully obvious how fake rasterization looks.
Great video and fantastic game enhancements -- developers are getting closer to the realism goalpost! Alex really knows how to hit the "nail on the head" with his analysis.
Clarification from developers: Enhancements made to ME 2021 vs ME 2019 did not result in changes to contrast/brightness. It would have been just as easy to maintain same dark enviroments with infinite bounces, but dev's decided make an art direction change in this aspect.
Ehh... so what actually made the game look less atmospheric (and imo worse looking) in those comparison shots, was a conscious decision from the devs... great decision... NOT. But they did the same thing with their previous redux versions of the previous metro games... completely changed the look of the game, and not for the better.
