NVIDIA Doubles Up GeForce Now Subscription Cost to $10 Per Month

Netflix is a dumpster fire to the point that I would have canceled my subscription long ago if my family didn't use it. Its price has literally doubled since I signed up, and they haven't gotten better, only worse IMO.

And I'm really surprised at the number of people coming in to defend big brother nVidia considering they're only pulling this move to capitalize on the China virus lockdowns... and what flagrant scumbags they've been to the gaming community consistently before that. Then again fanboys have always been very defensive of their favourite multi-billion dollar mega corporations.

Steam sucks IMHO for it. As much as I hate to say, moonlight game streaming is far better. Works alot better for game stream on my surface 3 then steam does. I dont even need steam running on my tablet either. Just let my threadripper rig/server encode the game and all. 40mb 1080p actually looks very good.

I've got to do more testing tomorrow, but, my impression of Steam streaming is it looks like crap on my phone. So many compression artifacts. It makes TT Isle of Man 2 unplayable, the encoder can't seem to keep up with the speed of the game and it just becomes a blocky pixelated mess very quickly.

For anyone who only tried Steam streaming, it doesn't surprise me that they'd think that all streaming is like that. However, GFN is nothing like that and gives a good picture quality, it's 2 different worlds. Given the choice, GFN wins easily, it's not even a contest.

 

It still sucks though. It just does not feel as good. Ive tried it with my phone, surface, AMD gpus, Nvidia, and my steam link. Nothing felt good with it. And visual quality was certainly lower too. And steam still can not capture reshade.

 

Everything was always coming according to plan.
