I have a problem with my GPU. All of the games I am playing working fine. No errors, no crashes. Actually I would like to sell my system and before I tried some stress tests and there the problem occurs. Furmark crashes, program close not a crash of the wohle system, I can start a new run 3D Mark doesn't work, same behavior as in Furmark OCCT is also chrashing Unigine is working fine without any problems I tried the Afterburner with -100MHz GPU and -100Mhz VRAM --> Furmark has no problems in a run arround 2 hours --> OCCT no problem --> Unigine also no problem --> Firestrike is working one run, stability test I don't know --> TimeSpy doesn't work in one run I have no really idea because I never had a problem beforce the stress test. The card has no problems in games, yesterday I used the card in another system, 4K games (with not that much FPS) but no problems in APEX Do you have some ideas?
give the system a fresh install before sale, try again. that unbranded psu could be an issue down the line.
Please disassemble the entire computer, clean it thoroughly, wipe it, assemble it again, and retest. If the parts are used for a long time, the slots will get dusty and contaminated, and disassemble the graphics card to clean the dust and reapply thermal grease. Then try the test again. Definitely an PSU isnt able to supply enough power to the System under load, try undervolting your GPU and run the tests.
I had the same problem years ago with a 780. After about 2 years of use, it started crashing unless I underclocked it. It had nothing to do with the PSU. The video card (a cheap Palit model, cheapest 780 I could find) just went bad. Did the same thing in another PC as well. When I sent it back under warranty, they were able to confirm the issue as well. I'm not saying it's not the PSU in your case, but people immediately blaming the PSU is wrong. It's perfectly possible it's the GPU that went bad.
Could be number of things here, could be the motherboard, psu, Surge Protector(Absolutely yes), Gpu, etc. Do you have another good working psu handy? If not, have you tried putting that 980 of yours into another PC if its still doing the same thing? Also, what is your Max Temps please? Thanks.

It is not the PSU for sure because I tried 3 of them. The cheap one with the result as described I put the card in the computer of my son with a 3700x and a MSI X570 Pro Carbon, same result games OK (that was the mentioned 4K game test (there was a crash in Fortnite for one time, other time OK, APEX no Problem, Valorant also, every game in 4K) The PSU there is a DarkPowerPro with 750W and normally he has a 2070s in his setup Furthermore I tried a new Thermaltake 600W PSU (not the best but I think enough for the test. --> Games OK (unless the one crash in Fornite) Benchmark only with underclocking See above, max temperatur in a 2 hours Furmark was 71°C Where I can find the Surge Protector and how it is possible to test? I did everything, the wohle system is on a benchtable and completly cleaned. New grease, dismounted two times. OS is new, actual driver installed. I think there is a minor flaw because with underclocking also the benchmarks are running fine. I think repairing is too expensive.
So your not using a Surge Protecter? Are you running directly through the Wall? Question, ever had the system unexpectedly shut down? Bsod??? If so, under Event Viewer>Windows Logs>System, do you you see any critical error's? If so, What does it say underneath under general/details, thanks.
Running a faulty 980Ti here, i've tried every trick there is bar underclocking the card. I get about 1-2 hours of gaming on certain games and then bluescreens or desktop crashes. I opened the card and repasted the processor, can't see any burnouts, i'd advise you do the same and give those PCI slots a little air blast. Whatever you do, don't put the card in the oven.
putting it in the oven is fine, for softening and resetting solder balls. won't do much for your SC though, if its not the R33 inductors, its usually one of the vram power circuits that is on its way out and it'll eventually blow out taking the imc and perhaps modules with it.
Saddened to hear of my cards fate, i usually only play old RTS games so don't even really have a need for a newer card.
