This because WHQL is not present. You have to ddu first, then install amd driver with same version from NimeZ release, and finally NimeZ driver. Install my NimeZ driver without Factory Reset (normal update).

It looks like most of the testing machine are kinda low end. I am desperate for a new driver as my 6800XT crash like crazy. Please let me know how I can help.

 

yeungl@I did not realize ,mine is a 5700xt, is not so weak the issue here has to do with a game DIRT RALLY that with the ADVANCED BLENDING ON the game goes down , you have the game ? could test your 6800xt in the game

I'm just happy tweaked drivers are making a comeback. Back in the day there were Omega drivers and Xtreme-G drivers. I used both. There would often be two variants: Quality drivers and Performance drivers.

Unfortunately? I get worse frame rates in both TimeSpy and Superposition with these drivers. Even when loading my Superposition and Timespy presets, which I base off of my highest scores. With these drivers? I am off almost 1600 points in SuperPosition and about 900 points in Timespy. That's a lot!!! On a 6900XT I'd get about 13,000 in Superposition, and 20,300 in Timespy with the 21.2.2 and 21.2.3 drivers. With these drivers I am now down to 11,400 and 19,400, respectively. I save all of my best benchmark settings in profiles, so it's all the same clock presets, settings etc. Is it the dithering?

Hopefully the author can make some good benchmark worthy drivers! I'd gladly use these for general gaming. Especially for the banding dithering reasons.

 

Interesting, can you share the 3DMark result with GPU and CPU load?. Btw, reduced benchmark score also affected by 3DMark recent version itself. I remember when 8790M DX12 Overhead score higher than 6.000.000 in 3dmark (2019) version, now dropped to 4.000.000 with Same Driver version. Try benchmarking from the game to compare the result, GTA V for example.

 

I'm an idiot.
I can tell you why this happened. After you mentioned the GPU/ CPU clocks I noticed that my clocks weren't exceeding 2550MHZ. I forgot to install the MorePowerTool settings. The card won't budge to overclocking without increasing the GPU TGP. Default TGP is 281, so I set it to an even 300W and the clocks can soar up to 2660MHZ and upward 330W, max. I'm looking forward to now testing my scores!

 

never understood why disabling ULPS is good tweak? Considering temps of radeon cards disabling ulps is as for me, real stupid decision. And what stabilty no ulps gives?

 

ULPS is a "Sleep Switch state" for switchable laptop gpu, it's used to disable dgpu when not used. Doesn't affect power consumption too much. The problem mostly persist on laptop with switchable graphics users:

1. During driver installation system become freeze, It can be fixed by disabling ULPS through registry on safe mode. But this only temporally action because when installing new version, it will happens again.
2. BSOD or freezing when Idle (not using) more than 5-15 minutes
3. Input lag when opening video playback (Media Player Classic, VLC, etc)
4. Annoyed GPU Load Spike causing input lag too

 

Hey man I don't know if its me but I have a AMD ryzen 3500u APU with Vega 8 graphics and I install it but it dosent show up ive used DDU and tried again but nothing works im also getting errors like this

 

Try Delete NZFolder and Rerun Installer.

 

I got a untrusted system file and cant play any games with EAC ive tried using DDU installing AMD Official Drivers and then installing your driver and I dont know how to install it dosent show up and just stays on the original version i installed with the amd official download I dont know what to do please explain fully how to get rid of this error

 

Install my drivers without checking the "Factory Reset". The official version should following with nimez (same version). I play EAC games too like Paladins, Rogue Company, and Fortnite. They have no problem.
