I usually purchase 60 series Nvidia cards, I have actually never paid more than 300 for one.... 60 series is not a high end video card series, it should not be priced as one.

Before pointing at the 1660 you need to realize that is not a true 60 series card, it's a filler card because Nvidia wants to push prices up for the actual 60 series cards.

The 1660 is also grossly overpriced.

6700XT will murder this card. Maybe nvidia limited the performance aslo with that hash rate limiter :D

And it'll also have a higher MSRP and is gonna be out of stock as well.
6700XT will likely compete with the 3060 Ti (performance and MSRP wise), not the 3060.

Pepperidge Farm remembers when an 8800GT was 80-100% better than the previous generation. Not that we'll ever see that again, but 19%? That's underwhelming.

The 2060 score used to determine the 19% value is unreliable, since several 2060 scores in the AotS benchmark page are similar to 2060 Super scores.
The 3060 score is around the 2070 Super (high 6000s), but it's better to wait for the actual reviews to judge it.

Underwhelming unless it's the right price. It puts it very close to the 5700XT which was sold for around 400-440$ USD 1 year and a half ago. So unless this card is 350$ USD top which it will likely not be then meh!

if the price is too high... buy & mine. Instead of being pissed about the prices us your idle hardware to pay for itself. This won't last forever. We have to opportunity to get FREE GPUs atm.

Its MSRP is supposed to be $330 USD, but due to the current situation it's not going to be that price (it's probably just gonna be out of stock like the others)...

    RTX3060 does 25Mh/s @100W. That's about ~0.00175ETH per day. After 3 months you are looking at ~0.16ETH.
Whole system does how much? Let's be very powerhungry. Idle PC + working GPU + crap PSU = (~100W + 100W)*1.25=250W 24/7 for 90 days = 540kWh. Multiply that by how much your electricity costs.
ETH is expected to rise above 10 000$ this year. Lets say you sell your 0.16ETH (if you don't mine more) @5000$.
    That's 800$ minus electricity, 54$ if 1kwh is 10 cents.

Stealing, ehh? Free stuff if you ask me.

    No. You are ignorant.

it's kinda hard to define this, but going by msrp 3070 partner versions on launch carried msrp lower around 550-600 usd (540 for the tuf,560 for the trio,570 for gigabyte,600 for evga ultra)
6800s were 650usd msrp. I think 6700xt is gonna be 400 (reference) and 450 partner (normal old msrp) cause I saw leaks it's 20-25% faster than 5700xt,so just shy of 2080 Super, and 3060Ti.

Well, it turned out to be 2070. :( AIB models are 3-4% over stock 2070. Which means that they are equal as AIB 2070s are also 3-4% above reference 2070.

this is weak considering 2070 was a 106 die too.

Yeah, really disappointing, especially for its power consumption. Such a small improvement in performance/watt over the 20 series...

700 EUR for a 3060? Bloody hell. My friend picked up a used Waterforce 2080Ti for 2650 PLN just a couple of months ago.
