they're always in stock here cause they are just not being bought when 10600kf is half the price

Here in Norway:
5600x in stock a few places, but 700 NOK more than normal price.

5800x in stock in every shop for normal price. Noone want's it here.

5900x and 5950x is sold out everywhere, and backorder is pretty big.

The stock issue is different in different countries

This is something I haven't come across in Intel CPU's and I've have a few Intel top tier CPU's for the last 10 years including HEDT's.
I recently RMA'd a 5900x after 2 weeks when it threw WHEA errors and hard resets out of nowhere, again something I haven't seen in Intel cpu's.

Seems I'm not the only one going off that thread on AMD's own site.

 

maybe it's not the cpu but b550/x570 ? those are bugged too.

 

Could be, but whatever it is, there's at least 2 new posts every day of new people having the same problem, with no acknowledgement from AMD and people RMAing their CPU's.

But again it's something I've never needed to deal with using Intel systems.

 

i gotta be honest with you,if I kept having one-two bsods a day which persisted after rma I would probably just return this pos,buy a r3000,trade ipc and frequency for more cores and stability.

or get yrself a 3800x,half 5900x price literally.lock it to 4.4-4.5 allcore,throw in some b-die sticks,there are many very well priced kits,like my vipers.Get them to run 3800,tighten timings,and for gaming you're set for a couple of years at least.and you're still getting pci-e 4.0.
my go-to cpu testing site, ppc.pl, has a setup like that and they're pushing a 3090 with it just fine even at 1080p,check it out.

I'm not even discusing prices . I'm just saying if you want one there is one not just one you can buy 1000 of these tomorrow if you like.

 

And yet I get exactly the same 3D Mark scores on the 10900k/RTX 3090 as I did with the 5900x, it's already been proven pcie gen 4 over gen 3 for gpu's are negligible, down to a margin of error.
But now with z590 and 11th gen you have PCIe gen 4.

From my past 2 experiences with x570 (also had a 3900x when they first dropped, buggy as then too) I'll take stability and reliability over core count any day, thats what Intel provides, always will.
No messing around to get a cpu stable while running stock like AMD.

This replacement 10900k will do me until the next lga revision.

Just find it funny when Intel news threads are flooded with AMD "fans" when there are clearly still major problems in the platform, cpu's or bios's.

 

Αnd I find it funny that as we get closer to the introduction of the Intel 11000 series the AMD platform is getting more and more problems, first it was the supposed hardware failure of the processors and now the problem with the motherboards,in other news

 

There is already bios update for that.

 

My main system ASUS DARK HERO X570, plus I had ASUS ROG E X570 , no issues at all with 5950X, back in November on my ASUS PRIME X470 with a 5800X and 5950X ,six BIOS [BETA] updates later is running fine .
