Cool, seems useful for older games that store the .dll files in their directory (correct?), it's not needed for "C:\Windows\System32" & "C:\Windows\SysWOW64" folders to check them right? As they are the up to date ones?

Also wondering, do the installers above (Visual C++ 2019 Redistributable) replace the .dll's in "C:\Windows\System32" and "WOW64" to just one copy of their latest version? Do I have to worry about old leftover files and duplicates in those folders?

Also I would either make a new thread about your program and/or get it edited in the OP, it's good but no one will see it otherwise.

    Yes, it is the same.

I reckon this thing completely unnecessary. When .Net byte-code (AKA IL-code) is compiled to native code at run-time it can perform faster then code generated (compiled) by Ngen. Sure the compilation from byte-code to native code takes time, but only one time.

    @mbk1969 Thank you

@Im_Special Do not know if there is a proper way but before updating the C++ runtime dlls, I uninstall them individually under the Programs & Features window. So have not run into any leftovers.

No, it is not needed for those folders. But you can search there to see.

It can be that newest VC redist-files are installed in special folder - WinSxS (Windows component store).

    No.
The purpose of remover app is to remove MSVC dll-files from folders of certain apps (like games).
When you install new version of C++ installer you update (and/or add) dll-files in system locations.

I'm getting an error on Windows saying I don't have the necessary permissions to run it. Already tried running it as admin but it won't work. First time that this has happened to me. All previous versions were working as expected. Any clues as to why this is happening?
    Thanks!

EDIT: Nevermind, it's Windows Defender blocking it... I guess it's just a false positive, right?

Yea thats defo a false positive, my defender doesn't even block it at all. Maybe you clicked on "no" by mistake when defender asks if you want to run the program.

I always unzip the file "VisualCppRedist_AIO_x86_x64" so that all the files extract to a folder and it looks like this....

    image_2020-12-15_180908.png

Then I run the Uninstaller (as admin) select Y to agree and uninstall all previous versions.

Then run the Installer (as admin) and select Y to agree and install all the latest versions.

    Reboot PC, and done.

I know this way isn't really needed but it's just me. I've had previous versions install the same version multiple times. So I have gotten into this habit of doing it manually my self.
