Hopefully you are joking about this idea. If not, those involved will get a first hand account of what it is like to be escorted back the ground by one or more fighter planes. Any aircraft not squawking an identity code gets everyone's attention. And the ramifications of that course of action will be life altering for all involved.

    • But ebay will not be required to refund you based on the "as is" status of the sale.
That means nothing really, all a buyer has to do is say there is a missing part, say drivers, and eBay will refund. That really offers no protection to seller from savvy buyers.

Engineering samples are generally inferior to a CPU labeled by the same model designation that will ship commercially when officially released. $500 is way too much for an eng sample, imo. Not sure if any price would not be too much...;)

Maybe they get lucky like the hijackers at 9/11, 3 planes managed to fly to their chosen destination after shutting the transponders off and deviating from the flight plan. But on any other day a jet fighter pilot will be waving at you within, on average, about 8 minutes up to 20 minutes max if flying in the middle of nowhere.

AMD isn't confiscating crap, and the world isn't 'Murica, so even if they did go out of their way they're going to hit a brick wall for anyone outside of the US.

I wouldn't really recommend buying an engineering sample unless the price is great, but AMD is doing precisely dick to get samples back. They'll only go after samples they deem critical for whatever reason. You people have no idea how many AMD engineering samples of everything are just floating around... it's a lot.

ES samples have been sold for ages and I have not heard of one single case where the manufacturer decided to reclaim the lost property . But that does not mean they never will as others said if it was the next gen cpu I am sure they would get the law enforcement agencies involved .5000 series its old news at this point .

Engineering Samplers are a collectors item. The value is they are historic items that mark specific points in cpu development.
If you are buying one for general use then you are doing it wrong...

I would not buy one but their are people/organisations that do collect them for historic value

40-50$ more expensive than 5600x but even then amazing cpu for the money. Im really surprised seeing intel being more affordable.

Dont forget that 3900x is also in that price range. Its only zen3 thats overpriced.

Here cost exacly the same. For average Joe much better option than 5600X for sure more Futureproof if you look at multi score. Gaming benchmarks look solid also.
10 core at price of. 6. Unbelievable. Go back 2 years....

Problem is the board. For a 10900 you need a beafy z490 while 5600x can run on a b450.
