Theres a new tool for recording these performance considerations.

though i expect your issue is actually a third party tool rather then the driver (it almost always is)

I reverted to 461.09 and the idle power states are working again with 1x144hz + 1x120hz. Think I'm gonna stick with that for a much longer time than usual.

Do you tested the driver with rtx 2080 card?
Does the gsync or the freesync(gsync compatible) works for you ?

nothing to do with this driver

remove gpu tweak (if installed) otherwise, its the latest game patch at fault

Yes, with an RTX 2080, it's a Gsync monitor with a module, and as I stated previously with 461.09 it works with 1x144hz(Gsync) +1x120hz(Normal) and the clocks come down to idle frequencies and so less power usage (lower temps).

HAGS was the source of the stutter with this game and all the vr games I have, turning it off fixed the issues. Seems HAGS and the 3090 arent playing together well.

Probably connected to their ongoing work with the utility api.

Anyone manage to get Nvidia sharpen working with Assassin's creed valhalla is it the drivers or the game lots of flickering when used.

Sharpening, forcing FXAA, etc all cause issues with this game.

Also something to note that most people don't understand with this game. Anti-Aliasing in the GAME setting does not mean Anti-Aliasing, it has a value of LOW, Medium, and High and people put it on LOW thinking they're turning off Anti-Aliasing.

    High Anti-Aliasing with AAV = No Anti-Aliasing.

Because Anti-Aliasing in this game is actually just another form of render resolution. Setting it to medium, is like setting the resolution to ~70% and setting it to LOW is like setting the render resolution at 50%, and it just upscales from there.

The only way to sharpen the overall image is to use Nvidia Profile Inspector, go to Assassin's Creed Valhalla profile, scroll down to section 4 and set:

Texture filtering - Negative LOD Bias = ALLOW
    Texture filtering - LOD Bias = -3.000

(That's negative three point zero zero zero).

I have an RTX 3090 FE. Curious when I go to Apple.com in Chrome at the top scrolling over their tabs causes them to flicker on and off. Maybe their header is broken but this has never happened to me before on their site. Scroll over iPad or iPhone or any of them and it disappears and comes back.

Is this part of the driver problem being discussed here? I have 461.40 as well.

This hotfix driver has the same profile fix we used in the previous driver branch but it does not completely get rid of the flicker. The profile changes the timing enough that users see less or no flicker but does not fully solve the problem. We are working on a permanent fix.

That is indeed the MPO issue that can be worked around using the registry fix.

Did NVIDIA forget to add the profile for Prepar3D with the 461.51 drivers?

Hi, just wanted to give some interesting feedback.

I can 100% confirm there is some improvement here, but it is a strange one.

During server daytime, everything is perfect, basically no flickering in Bastion, Halls of Attonement and Ardenweald. These 3 locations are easy replications of the flickering.
However during nighttime..its like everything is back to normal flickering, it must be some form of element that is introduced during night time that is causing this flickering. eg some kinda fog/mist in these zones.

Theatre of Pain dungeon final boss, still has that strange see through the floor issue, regardless of driver at certain angles :D

This driver might have broken 3DMark Night Raid

No, there was some discrepency with my monitors pnp configuration that required deleting and redetecting them from Device manager.
