https://www.club-3d.com/en/detail/2496/displayport_1.4_to_hdmi_4k120hz_hdr_active_adapter_m-f/ I'd like to use it to connect Xbox Series X (hdmi 2.1) to Acer XB241YU (DP 1.4)
I never trust those converter cables, they always have something janky with them. Really annoys me that neither Sony or MS thought it would of been a good idea to include a DP connector as well as a HDMI connector onto these new consoles. The OG PS3 had like 4 different types of display connections at the time. This would just make thing so much easier for people who already have monitors with DP. PS5 doesn't even support 1440p signals yet?!?!
Even audio can get messed up. I have the Club 3D CAC-1080 and the "only" rate it will allow to my AV Receiver is 48KHz 16bit despite it working up to 192/24 with a direct HDMI connection. Its the Denon X4400H Receiver. I contacted them and they said they dont have my AV receiver to test with so arent going fix it. What kind of attitude is that? There are no adapters converting HDMI to displayport btw.
Its not Denons problem or a problem with the receiver, its Club 3D that wont lift a finger to make their DP to HDMI adapter compatible. And I just found that it doesnt work with my Ultrawide display Samsung CRG9. It gives a max res of 1024x768 when it should be 5120x1440. Only Club 3D can fix these issues.
That might be because there arent any My DP to HDMI 2.0b adapter works fine straight to my UHD TV, but thats all.
