I suppose senile grandma from RE7 wasn't really all that so here's this thing. Course RE7 was more of a slasher grindhouse experience as Ethan visited the tourettes couple and their goopy mold farm and less traditional horror minus a few jump scare attempts here and there. (Followed up by the weird but really fun beat-em-up experience from the one family member that was actually downright awesome if a little bit weird and into the whole survival thing to the extreme. ) Was still fun though, worked really well in RE4 even with it's varied mood swings and experiences from one set piece to another so eh could work here too. (And minus the whole MP focused co-op and XP grind that RE5 and RE6 could be.) EDIT: Yeah the Baker's usually lost the cooking contest before it even got properly started but they sure won the swearing contest by a landslide owing to Marguerite's creativity.
Finished the demo, nice and very short frame drops when turning the camera around are very noticeable
once again i like what i see here. looks very good to me, solid trailers all around. gonna wish-list it.
RE Verse can suck a big fat one. It looks like a really early PvP mod with an awful cel shaded filter applied. Why do Capcom insist on wasting development time and money on these crappy modes? Even though it's free as part of RE8, i'm sure they could have put the time, effort and money into something better, something that people would actually spend time playing. The community isn't exactly clambering the walls for this type of thing. They'd get a more favourable reception from a new RE Outbreak game. RE8 does look awesome though.
There is no native Pc vr, you can use Vorpx but its a bit iffy. Also, Village looks awesome but locking a difficulty to a special edition is a piss take.
As was the case with RE:7, I don't really care for the shift to first person, though I can appreciate them wanting to do something fresh with the series. The change in dimension just totally changes the feel of the RE games for me. I'm also a little surprised at how last-gen the trailer looks to me (subjectively of course). Aside from that, the voice over 'walkthrough' narratives that keep popping up in these trailers which tout all the whiz-bang and wonderful new features in the game are becoming an immediate turn-off and trigger of suspicion for me since I immediately recall the likes of the Aliens: CM and Cyberpunk trailers. My first thought invariably becomes: "OK, so how much of this is BS and how much is legit...". Please just run the trailer with the game and music/sound effects, and maybe do a quick synopsis at the end. We can make up our own minds about the technology, art, etc. We don't need it spoon fed to us throughout the entire trailer.
I'm very interested by the concept of this game, a take on vampires for the RE franchise, gosh... yes please. I'm in for that. I really like vampire and/or werewolves stuff. And in the setting and play style of an RE game? And in first person? Yeeeeeeaaaaaahhh, well, I'll wait to see more of the actual gameplay from their next demo just to be more sure. But so far, so good. It's the first RE game I've been interested by (pre-release) since... well maybe since the original release of RE3 back in the day.
